Doesn’t make me sick, couldn’t care less tbh. Premier league players earn premier league wages. Grigg earns 5 figures per week ffs, that’s worse ....

tbh sharing this and his NI number is a bit dodgy, I’d take it down

That’s a monthly pay slip though . Hope he holds out if it’s a 5 week month, or might need Quickquid.

Good luck to him, it's a short career and if I had any talent in that area, I'd milk it for all it's worth.

I always think he looks decent for Everton to be fair, I'm just not sure anyone knows his best position, or that he's ever had one consistently. He's a bit like Oxlade Chamberlain was at Arsenal where he'd be fine anywhere but never really nailed down a spot to develop in.

Nice tax contribution coming from him as well. Much better than a billionaire owner keeping it in offshore assets!

Nearly half of that money is being taken by the tax man, every month without fail.

Most of these premier league footballers personally pay millions of pounds every year in tax.

That money, or it should be, goes towards our NHS and other public needs and services.

I don't get why people moan about the massive wages, the clubs are stupid enough to pay them, and it only effects our country in a good way, economically.

I suspect it's the usual reason, JEALOUSY.

Totally natural to be jealous of people who play footy for a living and can retire in their mid thirties having earned a fortune, it'd be a bit weird if you weren't even slightly envious. Living the dream.

    Being envious is fine.

But many people seem to have a bitter jealously towards footballers lives and their earnings.

Im not being bitter and jelous by posting this thread, my wording may suggest otherwise but i couldnt really give a feck what Iwobi or any other teams players earn to he honest.

I found looking at such a lucrative Payslip quite interesting so i thought id share it with whoever else may be interested.

Yes, I didn't actually mean you mate.

I can see you was comparing his wages to his ability, and your right, he's worth nothing near what he's earning.

The clubs and agents are the reason players like iwobi are earning fortunes.

My only gripe with it, is once a player gets a big contract on massive wages, I.e Rodwell, they can cripple a club by underperforming and not giving a ****.

Get 3-4 rodwells at your club, and your on a slippery slope to the championship with a unsustainable wage bill.

Must admit the tax was what caught my eye first, for some reason I always thought that footballers set themselves up as self employed and avoided a lot of that, or had most paid as image rights or similar. It's more money than anyone needs, but a lot of people earn a lot more and at least he's contributing huge money to the public purse, good luck to the lad

Pretty understandable I'd say, a lot of people aren't happy with their lot in life, having to work 9-5 until retirement late in life and barely keeping their head above water is a bitter pill to swallow compared to the life of a footballer.

Personally I don't begrudge them their wages but I don't look down on people who do.

I get your stance on it.

As long as their bitterness doesn't transform to abuse through twitter etc, then it's just a feeling I guess.

Had this individual been an utter blight on society I could maybe understand this type of hounding and denunciation.
His crime.... a footballer who some saddos have deemed unworthy of the very high play they receive. Did he or his associates make the clubs pay him the salary he gets. Is it his fault this is how much his employer think he is worth?
Some resent what players get and want to hark back to when players ( they stupidly believe ) played for the love of the game and their rapport with the fans.
Bullying and demonization being encouraged for nothing more than petty jealousy and resentment due to major inadequacies in the lives of the perpetrators.
    Disgraceful
