Massive hole on the left where he did so well for us, knew he would be missed but not this much. May have got points recently but performances were dire, absolutely no spark at all, which Max used to give us when we were struggling. I think this was summed up most when we saw Keogh on the left on Tues, prime example of desperation and a square peg in a round hole. I`m glad Pugh is coming as he is a good left sided player and can be effective there, but Mad Max will still be sorely missed.
Agreed Phil I also think it hasn't helped Nunez one bit, he has gone from 2nd best (meaning he tries really hard) to number one for that position whi has noticeable seen him drop in form due to the fact he hasnt needed to fight as much for his place!
Read on the YEP, sounds like Grayson is going to stick with Keogh on the left. ****ing joke if he does! Snoddy out too for a rest, Sam in, he deserves his chance now with the **** form Snoddy is in.
Think managers had a nightmare when they came up against Snod & Gradel, now Snod will probably be marked out of games until we have someone else for them to worry about!
Agree about Watt. He always looked to have a bit of quality, and he could beat a man and has pace which we miss so much now Gradel's gone. Gradel would pick the ball up, run straight at someone and take it past them. No-one in our team can do that. We have no width or pace now. Glad Pugh has signed, cause he'll provide a bit of width on his left side, and protection for left back as well. Lloyd Sam deserves a chance, he had a good pre season and should have started the season as first choice - Snodgrass was injured pre season and isn't even fully fit yet. He'd provide that bit of pace and ability to beat someone.
If its right about us paying 500k for Pugh in Jan, surely we should snap up Watt for the reported 250k Arsenal want? At management levels (Grayson and above), we are seeming pretty ****ed up
weve been through this before re watt, he never ****ing played for us, made of ****ing glass. whats the point of signing someone for even a tenner if they are never fit to play. Plus i saw him be equally as ****e as he was good, in the fleeting appearances he did make. Anyway, looks like we are all agreed Sam has to come in, he can give us that pacy danger we need. Would also want Connolly on right with him as he is covers the entire flank too, should never have been dropped.
Phil If Watt gets a run of games he will be unbelievable but apparently he was asking Stupid wage demands which is why we never signed him
