    There’s a horse running but I can’t say yet, I’ll leave a cryptic clue.
Type of yarn that doesn’t f#ck with the blinders.

If he's the one who put Bt, it's going to be very hard.

If that other runs to its handicap mark then it’s places to be played for. Also they should retire the other big name in that race.

Just spoke to my mate and he’s been riding the horse at home and says he’s a machine who’s ready first time up. He has a lot to find on ratings but he’s a hardened ptp horse. They feel the main danger is the Nichols horse the Jonjo horse is on the wain but still dangerous. It’s a poor turnout with just the four they are quietly confident.

    Catterick 1.20 Judex Lefou

Catterick is a track where you doesn't see runners from Tim Vaughn that often compared to others track. Judex Lefou wasn't beaten far in third at Punchestown last time out. This race worked out well with the winner 2nd in a grade 2 next time and the 2nd won a maiden hurdle following start. Tim Vaughn mentioned Judex Lefou in his recent stable tour(Attheraces):

"He is a recent acquisition from Ireland who put up some creditable efforts in novice hurdles. I am hoping he can make an instant impact."

Any thoughts about the 1.55 Catterick ?

I like Brotherly Company who reached a rating of 127 in 2016 when with Harry Fry and races today of his lowest ever handicap mark in the NH game. They are going massively up in trip today for the first time and stable hasn't had a winner at Catterick over the last 5 seasons which is a negative. Last time I was on Ask Paddy when he won really well from the front. Can he back this up 6lb higher ? So Satisfied won this race in 2018 and returns from a break on his last winning mark. Paddling runs consistantly well without winning in most of his races. Would be interesting to know what you think about the outcome this race.

    Catterick 2:30 Return Ticket

Faced some stiff tasks this season but generally has a progressive profile and stable has a decent strike rate with chasers this season. Trainer Ruth Jefferson amongst the winners recently. 5/1 on offer look generous.

    Catterick 3.00 Le Milos

Interesting what Tim Vaughn told Attheraces at the beginning of this month about Le Milos:

"He is a nice horse who won earlier in the season at Kelso. I think there is a nice handicap to be won with him and we plan to go to Wincanton on January 17 or Kelso on January 27. He underperformed at Cheltenham on his last start and I think I have him back to his best now and I hope we can have some nice days with him."

It seems that he finally found a suitable race today. At 17/2 worth a bet.

    3.35 Ash Park

I really love these veteran chases and in this small field it wouldn't surprise me if Ash Park runs better than recent odds suggest. Handicap mark down to 110 (highest rating was 127 in october 2017). Should strip fitter today after comeback run after a long break last time when never travelling. Can race prominently which is a plus at Catterick.

OK. I didn't plan on doing anything today because I'm looking forward to the next two weekends and especially towards Cheltenham but I love those races (one of my main bets for March is in that race and I'm starting to get a little nervous because the horse doesn't has still run this season) so I'm going to throw something although it would be very strange if didn't win Nicholls' horse.

Edit.- Good News. My horse for Cheltenham entered on Sunday.

    Warwick 1.35 Proper Ticket

The 14/1 on offer look interesting for each way purposes given the smart stats for Fergal O'Brien in hurdle races at Warwick over the last 5 seasons

    44 runs 6 wins 11 placed 14.35 PL

Proper Ticket stayed on well in 5th last time after losing position midway. Decent conditional takes off valuable 3 lb.

3/1 to finish in front two looks a very fair bet to me.

    Warwick 2.10 Irish Octave

Last time in a stronger race I fancied Irish Octave here on the forum:

"I really like Irish Octave. Grand servant for a smallstable who rarely disappoints since competingin handicap chases. Often runs well when given a break for some month. Ground should be no problem. Trainer has had 9 runs over fences in the money from 18 runs this season (2 wins, 7 placed) which is a smart stat for each way purposes. Obviously has a career high mark now but no forlorn hope for me."

Irish Octave fell when behind in that race. Down 2lb now and dropped in grade today I'll take another chance at a nice each-way price.
