Having supported Michy including his very poor last game, took the time to look at his stats this season compared to Abrahams, this is what I found, assuming my maths are bang average.
TA has started 21 PL games and finished all but 8 or 9 , being subbed usually for between 10 and 15 mins.
Don't hang me out to dry if this is not 1000% correct, it's the best info I could find.
He's scored 13 PL goals I think, very good stats.
MB has played 73 mins in PL for 1 goal, ie 1 goal for approximately every 3/4 of a game.
If he kept that up, in 21 games he would have scored 28 goals.
Not very likely, but his time in Germany suggests when played regularly, he scores regularly.

Perhaps he deserves a tad more consideration , seeing he's well below match fit, and he deserves more playing time with the top team, not just 10 or 15 mins when games are over????

    I agree tbh.
I think Frank should find a way to play them both

He's going to have to do something, and could have either hooked Abraham at half time against Newcastle, or added Michy and gone with 2 up front. Giving Michy 10 mins is a waste of everyones time. Tammy was wasting far too many chances. Not being helped by the lack of firepower from anywhere else, Kante and Jorghino aren't prolific goalscorers and Mount is having a very poor trott. We lack players with power and aggression, maybe RLC might bring that if he returns as the player he was? Time to crank up the effort while we can bring someone in ?? Disappointing game which we should have won, against poor but gritty scrappers.

Once again we turn up short against a Sunday pub outfit - Frank has going to have to make choices: buy a striker or failing that give Micky more game time. Failure to do this might see us fall short at the business end of the season.

It’s a defender we really need, or at least Frank knowing which central defender pairing he likes. Yesterday was the first time Rudiger and Christiansen had played together all season!
Michy deserves a go at it though. If one striker isn’t getting the goals he should, then the other deserves a shot or at least the chance for both to play.

I thought we played okay defensively yesterday and only a set piece done us which is a team collective problem

We really lack creativity without kovacic driving at people when theres no space.

I thought willian had the ball a lot in dangerous spots but was very ineffective. A poor game from him as much as i think hes been excellent this season.

Cho looked dangerous and back on it recently but hes sorely lacking an end product. I still dont like kante that far forward. Sure its fine when we are playing teams who attack us and he has space to drive into but in tight spaces and when a team defends with 11 behind the ball, he doesnt have the control, awareness, strength to do something magical in my book which we sorely miss from rlc and see from kovacic.

I think you're on it, there's no drive from the midfield when Kovacic doesn't play, so no defenders don't have to leave their man to take out a midfielder who's having a run at them. The defenders can just stick close to our forwards and be all over them in the last 1/3. Agree with Kante , would like to see him back in front of defence doing what he does best. Tammy is either on or off, little middle ground, and he's not yet lethal enough. Give Michy half a game as a sub for a start, and get him match fit and used to playing with our 1st 11, or let him go. No more 10 mins from the end subs. We're desperate for a proven striker until Tammy makes the next step, but equally a Pogba style monster in midfield is needed. Set piece defending needs to be practiced until our CDs are carried off with exhaustion. Apart from that , how was Dallas Mrs Kennedy ???

Think Michy is handy supersub for late goal when defences tire but his all round game is not currently good enough.

Tammy wasn't great, but his back heel that hit the post was clever

Have said all along, Tammy needs competition in this great future squad, I’d give Cavani a go and let Tammy dwell on his future chances.

Is it Frank’s philosophy to sign ageing superstars on big money?

Don’t think Frank will sign an old war horse it must be someone who is youthful and has something left in the tank but be in no doubt we need another striker as we’re incapable of putting the game to bed latest example 2-2 v Gooners as soon as we regained the lead I just knew we’d choke it just seemed inevitable; we’re doing everything & anything to give Utd a helping hand.

Cavani would be a big help for the rest of this year, and Tammy and Michy should learn plenty from him. Long term you'd have to think he'd become another Giroud. Just saw the replay of the Arsenal game and we managed to snatch a draw from the jaws of victory. Lots of huffing and puffing and effort, a Gerrard style slip from Kante and 2 quite remarkable goals from Arsenal. More credit to Arsenal than criticism of us, but our weakness in midfield and goal scoring won't go away.

I thought we were poor last night CP

    Great 11 v 11, dreadful 11 v 10.

It's certainly weird, play really well against the top teams struggle against the low teams. Good as our kids are, they all have some way to go before they become the new De Bruyne, Drogba, Hazard and especially Lampard. None of them have yet got the nouse to get through, around or over gritty defenders, and then actually score. Increasingly obvious is that neither do many of our experienced players. Kovacic is our best attacking mid, Jorghino at his best is some way behind what's needed, Kante looks more and more lost in our set up, Rudi goes missing at set pieces. Dave is proving solid, CHO improving, Tammy and Mount look to have plateaued for the moment, Kepa and Barkley not good enough and Willian is erratic. Reece James outstanding. Most of the others are not getting enough game time to improve or show their worth. We really need 3 top players, one up front ,one driving the midfield and one CD. Imagine Aguero, Pogba and Van Dyke in those positions, different story. Lets hope we can hold on to top 4 spot until seasons end and that the experience will take the kids up that next step. The talent and effort is there, time is the enemy for this year anyway.

Do you want us to sign three top players or give the youngsters a chance to develop?

We need to find a balance.
    We need a striker.
Tammy is injured and looks burnt out.

I agree, I just wonder if CP will get frustrated if the youngsters are denied first team football again

I agree. None of these youngsters have earned fat contracts yet.
