Definitely Yoshie to partner Jack for this one I'm afraid
Just goes to show how any injuries expose the lack of depth in the squad

You're right. I just thought about it, and the mere thought gave me the horrors.

So long as he hasn't lost his ability to completely fail to react, he'll still be the same player he was before.

I've got a bad feeling about this game.
The bus is going to break down.
The grass will be too long.
Zaha is going to have his once monthly good game.

I do. Non-League Footie go me back to the Dell after some time away
Living in Basingsoke about 1988, not much to do Saturday afternoon, I started going to see them and it didn't take long to get me emotionally involved
They were playing at a decent level just below the conference and I was there for their 'golden years'
Some top Semi-Pros were better than the bottom pros as they could earn more by playing and having a standard job at the same time
Even had a couple of FACup runs to the 2nd round

Got a season ticket at the Dell about 1993 and alternated between Saints and the Stokies

I struggle with anything below Conference North & South now, but its great being right on the touchline and within shouting distance of the opposition and referee

Palace are not the same side at home as they are away. They rely purely on solid defence and any chances on the counter, at home they have to try to take the game to us because we can just sit in. 1-1.

Yeah I'm not sure if 8th tier might be a bit too low for me to be honest for definitely worth a go for 8 quid - was going to go to Eastleigh but don't think I could support a team in blue.

This will be a real test today I fear. The last couple of seasons our Palace fixtures have turned into a real grudge match. I really cant stand Zaha's attitude and demeanor on the pitch so he gets what he deserves IMO. Hopefully JWP will give a good sledging and bang in a freekick. No two, two freekicks.

Bedders will be a big miss for us, the first game he hasnt played since RH arrived I believe? The Alternates fill me with no confidence but we will see what work they've been doing while the team has been in the ascendency. I trust in Ralph to select the best man for the job.

No point in predicting a result, lets aim for a hard pressing game and Ings to get a goal, he's been on a bit of a barren spell recently.

Actually the forecast suggests it's going to be a fairly mild 4 degrees throughout the game.

I share a lot of your points, what I would say is, similar to earlier posts by others, is I’d rather see Maya next to Jack than Vesty. I appreciate all the negative stuff some lay at his feet but he is a load quicker than Vesty and they have played, successfully, together before. Plus, in my view, along with JWP and Danny, he wears that shirt with pride and passion. That for me is always worth considering.

Only trouble with Maya is he is historically a slow starter. Needs a few games to get into his stride.

Mind you, Vesty is just slow.
