I think at times our sloppy play made them look a lot better than they are. We always seem to give the ball away a lot when we play Utd and also do not take our chances, but we still beat the buggers and that is what counts.
It's a strange one, first half ole got his tactics spot on. 5 at the back push on to our fb and swamp the wings. We coughed up the ball over and over. But you could see as the half went on he expected wan bissaka to pressure Robinson and form a back five line. Basically he ran his own player into the ground in 45 minutes. After half time you could see the lad was ****ed. We played them man to man today and matched them, who was fitter, who could run further, quicker, better. The quality shine through. I've had a drink and I've lost the point of what I was replying to. I had a salient point but it's gone, thanks for reading
Don't agree with Kean about Martial - we missed at least four easier chances than Martial's (especially Mo and Mane), but I still regard those players as top class. I'd have Martial playing under Klopp in a heartbeat - and he would get 15-20 a season. Wouldn't pay £50m for him though.
Weren't 100% today but ill take that against a united team we haven't beaten in a while. Much as we could have smashed them, its 3 points in the bag and Ole still will keep his job as a result of the performance.
If we'd had our shooting boots on, we'd have battered them 4-0 or 5-0! Not to mention the non-existent foul on DDG!
****ing Carra's doing it too now - we had at least four easier chances than Martial's. **** right off with this re-writing the story of the game.
Ifs and buts and cherry cups, we where the better team from start to finish. Last game I lost the plot because we where drawn into the utd liverpool hysteria. This match we played a good team and overcame them, I'm not sure of the stats but I can only think of them having 2 shots on target. We didnt play our best buf I'm glad the occasion didnt get the best of us, which was what pissed me off most the last time.
They had a few good chances, but we created far more. Poor finishing from both sides. They had a few moments of play, but I thought we were far more in control overall and more than deserved the win. Also it's very noticeable how much stronger our front three are than a few years ago. Salah in particular was brilliant today I thought, held up the ball so many times and used his strength to win the long balls. Deserved his goal and was the stronger player again in that battle. edit: Oh, and another clean sheet
Pissed as a rat with a happy grin on my face the scoreline might not reflect it be we ****ing smashed the twats
