Not sure that this is the right shout tbh, my feelings are mixed but understand this , the alternatives are Hughes or Flynn? I think I'd rather stick with this guy for at least a season rather than those pair anywhere near the club. If there was to be a replacement manager then it would have to be Big Sam to use his contacts in the game and get us fighting again. Ok, the football may be dog toffee but so has the last season or so, but let's get out of the championship by the end of next season and go again. Nigel Pearson was a manager I liked to have had here look what he is doing at Watford atm. Thoughts?
Good points BBB. He can only play the cards he is dealt and, let's be honest, it was a pretty ****ty hand. Hopefully he can twist a couple of times before the end of the month and not be made to stick. I would give him to the end of the season but if he can't improve his hand and how he plays it by then, all bets will be off and it will be time to throw his hand in.
Maybe it’s a Bridge too far for him and the Clubs not Suited for him. He needs support and if necessary go for Bust. Perhaps he needs to get smart and adopt a Poker face in negotiations and show more Heart and Patience. He needs to get his Spade and dig a bit deeper to see if he can unearth a Diamond.
Very poetic nin. I think in Tomlin he's already got the joker in the pack. As far a the current squad is concerned he needs to know when to hold them, know when to fold them; and for possible signings, know when to walk away know when to run......
