Cup win? You can forget that... 10th to 15th is realistic... if we buy 3 good players 8th at a push... we suck tbh .. weve had the luckiest season in my memory.
Did you watch the game... we were dreadful..it was an embarrassing performance... people get blinkered imo... results asside we have been **** all season..
Its not the same really because draws are no good... you have to try and win ... this weird desire to think a cup run means anything is beyond me.. at least you are saying win it... that makes sense at least.. and less pathetic than saying all i want is good gun run.... its like a virgin saying all i want is a female to talk to and spend time with.... not sex.
Defensively I think we are great. Those Chelsea lads on many occasions didn't have a clue how to get through. I think back... Greece in the Euros... I look at Newcastle in the FA cup... it seems like deja vu.
Hmmm I'm not sure. In the cup, you may have to play like last night. Stay in the game and wait for your big moment. Whether that's in the 90 or if you go to extra time later in the competition. I love to think we can play every game like we did against Bournemouth or West Ham but we cant. Absolute excellent thinking Captain. So no reference to that Spanish chappie until the end of next season then? I agree. The old golfing maxim "the more you practise, the luckier you get" works for me. I'm expecting more 'lucky' wins throughout the rest of the season as the starting 11 comes back to full strength. I also can't wait for the cup draw after we hammer Oxford. Happy Days are here again.
We play worse football ... its effective.. we are just the new stoke city. The comparison stuff is for morons tbh... the teams are not the same every season... the manager inherits the side the last manager built and we have var. The only real judgement can be on final league positions and how well the do over a few seasons or what they leave behind. Its all just silly... stats with an agenda
Being the new Stoke is what it is. I remember a Stoke fan being asked a few months back, would you go back to Pulis if it meant you weren't in the Championship anymore? Without a hesitation he said yes. The Arsenal fan asking questioned that as anti-football. The other fan replied "you haven't had a team as **** as Stoke are now." I agree with the Stoke fan.
