actually think it’s just rebranding, he’s been talking about it forever, moving some of the things he bought to online fast delivery, etc.

there might be something in the Palotta links though. He has the cash; he’s getting £800m for Roma and hates Italy’s bureaucracy. Once that deal is done we'll see. The club will be sold soon though.

Honest to god, if he rips them ****ing Sports Direct signs down, hires a proper director of football, and puts his money where his mouth is I wouldn't mind him staying.

He has more money, and a giant company, compared to most of the names being pushed around. But until he does that I want a change.

    He has improved though.

Exactly right. From 2016, he’s done nothing wrong.

Yeah, as the company becomes Frasers Group, they're moving away from it being a Sportswear focused company and now want to dabble in all sorts. Newcastle is reaping some benefits of that as we now have advertisements from every single company Ashley owns, I wouldn't be surprised if soon those giant Sports Direct.com signs get taken down.

We are also opening up to more lucrative sponsorship deals it looks like, so the club generates more revenue independent of the Frasers Group.

Like I said, if Ashley gets his act together, which he is making moves towards he can stay.

I was mostly talking of aesthetics honestly. I know it wasn't clear in my post.

All the other logos are actually stylish. Those Sports Direct signs are takky as ****.

Just had a thought about this one; the sports shops, "Sports Direct", will remain in place, as will the horrible tacky branding. There will still be a need for promoting and advertising the tat shop.

Now the overall group - Sports Direct International, the stock market listed company and parent group - will be rebranded as Frasers Group. This company, as the overall parent of Sports Direct, Flannels, Lilywhites, Firetrap, House of Fraser, etc., doesn't require advertising or branding. Parent/holding companies don't need advertising, especially not at a football club as an 'elevated' fashion brand doesn't exactly go hand in hand with it.

So I can't quite get my head around why Sports Direct branding was removed from Bruce's presser the other day.......
