Bring Your Scarf Saturday For GT

The Hornets have been in good form of late, as the appointment of Nigel Pearson as head coach has revived the team. The home side are five games unbeaten in the Premier League, having recorded four victories in the process.

A 3-0 win at Bournemouth last time out in the top-flight means that Pearson’s team have now scored at least two goals in four of their last five league outings. The victory at the Vitality Stadium moved Watford out of the relegation zone, although they are still only a point above the danger zone.

The Hornets are unbeaten in their last four league outings at Vicarage Road, having recorded three straight home victories. The home team have been prolific of late, scoring at least two goals in their last three league matches on home soil.

One negative for Watford is that the Hornets have won just one of their last 14 meetings with Tottenham in all competitions, suffering nine defeats in the process.

Jose Mourinho’s team are in the midst of a poor run of form that has seen the north London team record just one victory in their last five Premier League outings. A 1-0 home defeat against Liverpool in their last top-flight match means that Spurs have now suffered back-to-back defeats in Premier League, suffering three defeats.

It is fair to say that Mourinho’s honeymoon period as Tottenham boss is well and truly over. The recent poor run of form has led to Spurs slipping to eighth-place in the table and nine points adrift of the Champions League spots.

A lack of goals without injured star striker Harry Kane has been a big factor in the recent poor form, as Spurs have scored just four times in their last five league matches.

Tottenham have a truly woeful away record for a team that has finished in the Premier League’s top-four on a regular basis, as they have won just two of their last 17 games on their travels in the English top-flight.

Watford manager Nigel Pearson has confirmed that new signing Ignacio
Pussetto is in line to make his debut against Tottenham at Vicarage Road on
    Saturday.

The Hornets signed Argentinian winger Pussetto on a four-and-a-half-year
    deal this week from Udinese.

When asked the 24-year-old was ready to be called upon, Pearson said at
today's press conference: "Probably. He's fitted in very well and he's a
very likeable young man. He speaks decent English and I had a good chat
    with him.

"He's settled in very quickly and he'll give us options in wide areas."

Must be giving a postive impression. If Pearson gives high praise!

Don't think he is man who throws such remarks around easily.

Let's hope VAR isn't Spurs MOTM this time!

Tottenham have not received a transfer bid for Christian Eriksen and the midfielder will play against Watford on Saturday, says manager Jose Mourinho.

If I'm honest I was a little concerned about his comment, maybe I was reading too much into it but I thought he might have been digging at Perayra when he said the lad already speaks good English. (Parayra has been here 3 years and has not learnt the language apparently)

Thing is, Spurs fans are digging at Eriksen, not because he has run his contract down but because they see he is playing within himself, not committing himself particularly in 50/50 balls and is saving his body and making sure he is fit for his move. They describe him as the ghost of Eriksen.

Don't think Sarr and Pedro speak English either..

Sure he won't care if they just play well on the pitch.

Got to beat them tomorrow, I have a doulbe or quits on a 6 pack I am owed on it. This makes it all the more bigly important.

Tottenham have been terrible away, are shipping a lot of goal. We are on a good run, a very good run indeed. It's a funny old game though.

Sarr and Pedro have just arrived mind.

I reckon Pereyra is on his way out, that interview with him in Spanish when he said as much confirmed it. I reckon that red in the FA Cup had NP fuming too. NP won't take that.

However, the new Argy isn't a left winger. So, I don't see him as cover for the former Argie, at least that is what I think.

Also, I'd like to add that my Tottenham supporting mate here was not fooled by the self-proclaimed "new" Moanrinho (I rated him highly in his earlier career) and he said that watching them every week his fears have been confirmed so far.

I just hope that continues tomorrow!!!! :)

I appreciate Levy is a pillock so perhaps I’ve put too much thought into this, but sacking Pochettino for Mourinho always lacked logic, didn’t it?

Indeed. However, Pochettino's time was kind of up.
I hadn't heard the word pillock in a very long time, thanks for that I enjoyed reading that!!

He’s to appear in Mourinho’s very own ‘Christmas Carol’.

We're unchanged from last weekend's win! No great surprises there. Kabasele & Pussetto replace Dele-Bashiru & Success on the bench.
