“We will not sell Sadio, Mo or Naby now because they have a tournament in January and February – of course not – but if you have to make a decision about bringing in a player it is a massive one because before the season you know for four weeks you don't have them. “That's a normal process and as a club you have to think about these things. But these decisions are made without asking the players, without asking the managers, without asking anyone.”
I love Gomez but the next step for him is to be able to deliver quality performances without VVD (the same applies to the rest of the defence to be fair).
I think Matip and Gomez would do a good job if VVD was out, I still have doubts over Lovren but he has improved.
lovren has improved but it’s still not good enough I feel. I think he will go in the summer and we will sign a young CB
Im thinking maybe he keeps the 4 cbs we have now til the end of next season. Hoever should be up to scratch by then.
Van Dijk - Gomez still has only conceded 5 PL goals, after playing 18 games together That’s 0.28 goals conceded per game. For context, Rio and Vidic in their best season conceded 15 in 29 games, a rate of 0.52 per game.
I think it depends on Lovren, he's 4th choice and is he going to accept that? He has done in the past with him wanting to play himself into the team but there comes a time when you're done and to me this is it for him. The 3 we have then are adequate and Hoever then needs to up his game to be 4th choice. I wouldn't buy.
It’s a shame koulibaly is the price he is I think we should buy him so no one else can have him Wrap him cellophane and keep him in mint condition to sell later lmao
Good point. Gomez is maturing very quickly and he has Virgil to thank for that in being a great mentor.
True but we did cough up 3-4 big chances in the first half. Unfair to judge him on that because he was surrounded by youngsters).
Liverpool have won the race to sign a €60m striker with an announcement imminent, while Man Utd’s rivals have outbid them for Bruno Fernandes, according to Monday’s European Paper Talk. WERNER WANTS LIVERPOOL MOVE; ANNOUNCEMENT IMMINENT? Liverpool’s hopes of winning the race to sign Timo Werner have been given a significant double lift, according to a report. The Germany striker finds himself a man in demand and has been linked with a plethora of clubs, with Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea and Man Utd among his suitors. However, it is Liverpool who are in the driving seat and Bild on Monday cites two major reasons why a move to Anfield looks the most likely outcome. As per the German publication, they claim Werner has set his sights on playing in the Premier League and believes the football Jurgen Klopp’s side play would most suit his style with Anfield listed as the striker’s “preferred goal”. Furthermore – and perhaps just as significantly – it’s claimed Liverpool’s relationship with Leipzig would see the Bundesliga club prefer to do business with the Reds. That’s due to, what’s reported as, ‘good relations’ between the sides following Naby Keita’s transfer back in summer 2018. Werner’s exit clause stands at €60m, but interestingly, Bild claims this will reduce with each passing summer his contract elapses. And with the player determined to move on in summer 2020, it’s reported Leipzig now they can only get their maximum asking price for Werner this summer. Other reports take the story a step further by suggesting a deal to take Werner to Anfield may already have been struck and an announcement over a summer deal – the striker has made it clear he won’t leave in January with his side well placed to win the Bundesliga – could be announced before January is out.
So I am at home lazying about and then the Youtube algorithm comes up with Ovie Ejaria. Kid is a ball hog but he has the tools for a player Klopp can mould. I know it is the championship but he has somehow developed technically and physically
