I believe Embleton and Robson will follow Denver into becoming regulars in the first team, more importantly reading between the lines, it sounds like PP is onside and will give them the chance. It might take another half a season but our already re energised mid field looks to be in for a very bright future. OaU
but if he is going to play them why buy or loan other midfielders, surly that will knock them further down the pecking order
Damned if we do and damned if we dont. Club gets pilloried for poor quality and depth of squad but now needs to make sure it doesnt upset unproven youth players. If they are good enough they will get in. Watmore has been going to become our saviour for years now. All he does is return from injury, have a couple of ok games then gets injured again. Our primary objective is to be promoted..full stop. Everything else is window dressing
Embleton can supplement / complement our choice of 'inside forwards' - Gooch, Maguire & Watmore. Robson a proper left footer brings more balance to a midfield, and Docherty - if we get him - a more attack minded box to box midfielder. Add Boyce up top and two more at the back and We'll have a canny squad with to push on during a busy Feb in particular and wnd of season.
Exactly as has been said above, we need extra competition for Power and Dobson, as well as they are playing at present, having only Leadbitter will not be good enough, injuries and dips in form could see us miss the boat again, and central midfield is a vital link in the chain. OaU
