Haha - Yeah he’s more in the mould of a Lynden Gooch than a Jan Kirchhoff. Strong player, though. He’ll not be bullied about and shoved off the ball easily.

That's a glowing reference from fans of both the clubs he's played for recently. Certainly seems to fit the 'pace and power' criteria that Parky said he wanted. Will provide healthy competition for Power and Dobson, and keep them on their toes.

Really looking forward to seeing him in a red and white shirt, providing we can get him over the line.

He sounds spot on and there's an outside chance we'd be able to sign him up permanently if Rangers don't want him and we're in the championship. Big if there like.

I hope he's a better midfielder than Donald Love was a RB who the shrews also seem to rate.

He does sound the business, but it means that one of dobson or power will make way.
Both playing very very well in a team that has started to click.
Competition is always good, but lets hope that it doesnt tinker too much with the team dynamics

Oh absolutely not. I’m delighted with this signing. He’s another player with an engine like Jordan Henderson, he’ll run all day and night for the cause.

Him and O'Nien should get on then. There's bound to be one or two areas, like height, that the players we're bringing in are lacking in or we simply wouldn't be getting them. He sounds like a strong and determined lad and that will make up for a lack of size.

Yeah exactly, we aren’t in a position to be getting all our ideal targets. I’m extremely confident in suggesting this lad is a step-up from Dobson and Power. Not that either of them two have done anything wrong lately. He’s more attack minded than them, too.

Being out of all of the cups has clearly helped us. Same team for the last 4/5 games is unheard of. No need to change the same 11 at this stage but competition and younger legs than Leadbitter is better.

Yeah it is a bit of a problem, it wouldn't be right to drop Power or Dobson who are just starting to forge a real partnership. Parky seems reluctant to make subs presumably because he thinks they're ****e so he'd maybe be best used off the bench either to cement the win or try to turn it around.

It looks like he had options to join teams in the Championship. Gerrard has stated that he needs to be playing first team football so I suspect we’ve probably assured him that he’ll get starts once he’s settled in, if not straightaway.

Well we needed a creative midfielder let's hope we get this lad and he fits the bill.

Whilst Lafferty may fit the bill for a striker... his form lately is not impressive... still wait and see I suppose?

... and also try slightly different formations as needs be, to keep the oppo guessing. 3:5:2; 4:5:1 etc, provided we get an alternative striker

True, again though shame to change something that's just starting to bear fruit as they get used to it. Always good to have quality options of course and if he's as good as we hope he's going to be playing one way or another.

i wouldn't anticipate formation/team changes anytime soon (hopefully) but some teams could start figuring us out and Parky will need a plan B up his sleeve.. and deal with any injuries
