    From BBC Sport

    Rochdale
League: League One. Opponents: Home v Newcastle United (Premier League). When: Saturday (12:31 GMT).

Luke Matheson scoring for the League One side.

Matheson, who has since turned 17, has gone on to nail down a place in Barry-Murphy's side. "We have a lot of young players who have played at Old Trafford, and big cup ties in the last couple of years," said Barry-Murphy.

FA Cup run so far: A v Wrexham (1R) 0-0, H v Wrexham (1RR) 1-0; H v Boston United (2R) 0-0, A v Boston United (2RR) 2-1. Prize money: £90,000. FA Cup stat: In 2017-18, Dale held Tottenham to a 2-2 draw in the fifth round before losing the replay 6-1 at Wembley.

    Carlisle United
League: League Two. Opponents: Away v Cardiff City (Championship). When: Saturday (15:01 GMT).

sacked manager Steven Pressley after 10 months in charge and appointed Chris Beech as head coach. This is the second time in three seasons they have made the third round and, while Football League survival remains the main goal, a positive result against Cardiff could help inspire an upturn in fortunes.

FA Cup run so far: A v Dulwich Hamlet (1R) 4-1; A v Forest Green Rovers (2R) 2-2, H v Forest Green Rovers (2RR) 1-0. Prize money: £90,000. FA Cup stat: Carlisle reached the third round in 2017-2018 - holding Sheffield Wednesday to a goalless draw at home before losing the replay 2-0.

    Portsmouth
League: League One. Opponents: Away v Fleetwood Town (League One). When: Saturday (17:31 GMT).

FA Cup semi-finals in 2013, has been in charge since 2017.

Since the start of 2017-18, Portsmouth have beaten Fleetwood four times in the league by an aggregate score of 12-4.

FA Cup run so far: A v Harrogate Town (1R) 2-1; H v Altrincham (2R) 2-1. Prize money: £90,000. FA Cup stat: Portsmouth beat Championship Norwich City at this stage last season.

Do you ever feel like as 'punishment' for having the audacity to go into administration in 2010 (or 2012 or whenever), the powers that be deliberately rig our cup draws so that we never get a glamour tie in the FA cup?

All the times we've gotten to the third round, the fourth round, the fifth round, last season when there was only one other non-glamour side left before our tie was drawn (QPR, whom we got).... Just seems like more than coincidence.

Cue a cupset at Spotlands. We beat Fleetwood and get drawn away to Rochdale in Round Four <laugh>

If we beat Fleetwood, then Joey Barton will probably attack Kenny Jackett, like he did to the Barnsley manager last season :bandit:

Let's hope so, then he'd get arrested and chucked into prison, where the thug belongs.

Then again, footballers can get away with anything so he'd probably get a pat on the back.

So POMPEY are the only Baton holders through to Round Four at the moment.

The other two ties have both gone to unlikely replays, with ROCHDALE holding Premier League Newcastle to a draw at Spotlands and CARLISLE UTD disappointed at only drawing away to Championship Cardiff City, after being 2-0 up.

Home to Barnsley. Hardly a glamour tie but a serious opportunity to get to Round Five against a side struggling in the Championship.

    NEWCASTLE UTD v Oxford Utd
The U's are in League One, two divisions below the hosts.
They reached the Quarter Finals in 1963-64,
Last season they went out in Round Three, 1-0 at Brentford
Cup stat: In reaching the Quarter Final in 1963-64 they were the first Fourth Division (League Two) side to do so.

    Reading v CARDIFF CITY
The Royals, like their visitors are currently in the Championship.
They have reached the semi-finals twice; in 1927 and 2015
Last season they went out in Round Three, going down 2-0 to Manchester Utd at Old Trafford
Cup stat: Reading's record defeat occurred in an FA Cup tie on 27th January 1894, when they lost 18-0 in the First Round at Preston North End. It should be mentioned though, that this was a year before they turned professional and Preston were in the First Division!

    POMPEY v Barnsley
The Tykes are in the Championship, a division above Pompey, having been promoted last season.
They have lifted the cup once, back in 1912, having been runners up two seasons earlier.
They went out in Round Three last season, going down 1-0 away to Burnley.
Both League fixtures last season were drawn; 0-0 at Fratton Park and 1-1 at Oakwell
Cup Stat: In 2008 (when Pompey won the cup) they were one of THREE Championship sides in the semi-finals, having knocked out Liverpool and Chelsea on the way.

All three of our games kick off at 3pm on Saturday - when games SHOULD kick of!

There is one outstanding Third Round replay tonight, between Tranmere and Watford, with the winners hosting Man Utd on Sunday.

    NEWCASTLE UTD 0-0 Oxford Utd
    Reading 1-1 CARDIFF CITY
    POMPEY 4-2 Barnsley

    So
POMPEY are safely through to Round Five, while the other ties will need to be replayed.
