You're right ......... when was the last time you celebrated a trophy at Wembley?

I can tell you, it was before you were born <ok>

You can only use that 'joke' so many times .......... once tbh <doh>

The truth is that Newcastle have never celebrated at Wembley since before you were born ......... we have.

Says the guy who said he was "sick to death " of hearing about '73 in a previous thread.

    Just balancing things out like.

    How's that balacing things out?

Yes, I'm sick to death of 1973 because it's far too long ago for a club our size.

That doesn't affect the fact that Newcastle supporters haven't celebrated anything at Wembley since 1955 ......... nearly 6 decades ago.

So only season ticket holders with 2+ loyalty points can apply for away leg tickets. General sale to follow. Looking unlikely I'll get one. Going to have to go for the home leg, rather than end up with neither

Just shows mate, people can have all kinds of disagreements but don't have to fall out completely.

That's what's gone wrong with society.

The pit village mentality worked because we were all in the same boat and just had to get on with it.

I remember talking my old man into going a few days before the game, said something along the lines of “semi finals at old Trafford very rarely come along”.

It will forever be my favourite game following the lads, it had everything, it was following Sunderland all rolled into one match, magnificent.

Our support that night was phenomenal mate.

After seeing that level of travelling support, in the 70's etc, I was so proud to be there with my son.

He'd listened to me blather on about it for years but had never truly experienced it.

Before the game we took over the city centre pubs and outsung United for the entire game.

We had support in 3 sides of the ground and did everything possible to get behind our team.

It was, as you say, magnificent.
