Wasn’t it when we were in League 1 and played United? I seem to remember watching it on TV and seeing practically all the Northam with away fans.
That's not the time I was thinking of. I was in the Plymouth Uni Student Union for that game. There was a small room with about 6 Man Utd fans in, and the large room with around 40 Saints fans. Southerners stick to the south coast it seems! I sat in the small room with Man Utd fans because I was watching it with my mate who is a Man Utd fan (from London obviously). Anyway, I digress... The game I'm thinking of I was definitely in the ground for. But we may have given away the entire Northam end that time too!
We don’t have much control over ticket allocation, unless we can prove a safety issue. “FA Cup rules allow for an away allocation of up to 15% of the home stadium. "However this is subject to the local Safety Advisory Group (SAG) agreeing to that ticket allocation number.”
The SAG would only reduce an allocation, not force us to increase one. 5.3k tickets is more than 15%.
The 5-1 in our first season back? Can anyone remember any Chelsea scorers, I'll try dig some YT footage out.
Pause at 04:03 and you can see they don't have full stand. Edit - or for JRod's goal at the beginning. Nicely remembered!
They had the whole of the Northam for a cup tie when we were in the Championship and skint, they won 3-0 iirc Berbatov ran the show obviously
I was at this match and I was sat in the Itchen near the front and I remember Frank Lampard warming up on the sidelines and he was doing some stretching exercises and someone shouted out from the crowd about him teabagging which he heard and gave a cheesy grin back. The rest of the game I chose to forget.
I had completely erased that one from my memory. Just had a look and it was 2009, they had a standard FA Cup allocation too.
I'm gonna have to post the wonderfully evocative theme from,Taxi, "Angela" and REM's Man on the Moon on the music thread now.
