"Welcome to my world" is the cry of anyone whose team has been managed by José.

Turned to one of my utd mates at work and told him I was happy when utd scored against city as I wanted them to win

he was crestfallen aid it was terrible not to be hated anymore lmao

He had no right catching some of the shots he saved. Superb effort and 100% MOTM for me

They're all desperate to try and find something - anything, to make out we don't deserve to be where we are.

Imagine the stress of being so plastic and ABL that you need to instantly switch from "offside goals against Liverpool aren't important enough for VAR to overrule" to "we need VAR checking every throw in that might be awarded to Liverpool"

It did hit Mané, but then clearly rolls down the defenders leg. No view can identify when the whole ball crosses the line. Literally clutching at straws to find a reason the goal shouldnt count

It absolutely touched Mane last but who cares because (a) it was Spurs, (b) it was Mourinho and (c) it won us the game :)

I agree but either way I don’t think it was clear and obvious and if you are going to start checking those decisions then it is going to get a little bit crazy

It was clear and obvious, it should have been a Spurs throw. But it was still a side issue to the goal, they only mentioned it as Mourinho had rightly, in fairness, pointed it out. It happens though, and VAR has no input into those calls.

Lol I love the fume from the media!! We weren’t great yesterday but we just beat a good team, last years finalists, a defensive mourinho team ... and at their ground....

Doing that, in second gear just goes to shows the level we’re at.

It wasn't a great game but I think we were great in a different way; a more boring way forced upon us by Mourinho asks his negative tactics!

(I feel like I'm being harsh OB the words negative there)

You have to say.. This is another massive win.. Get through the next two with at least 4 points and you have to say it looks like it'll be somewhat comfortable. Sets us up nicely in the cups if we can get through January with the same vein of form.. Gives Klopp a bit more leeway for rotation.

Why the next two? We're already comfortable.

We are 16pts clear of Leicester with a game in hand... they'd have win every game and us lose seven!

Man City are 17pts behind... they'd have to win every game and us lose six!

We are currently on a unbeaten run of 37 games, are we going to lose six or seven in the next seventeen games? Not a chance!

Genuinely not trying to wum in this
I ended up recording on slo mo on my phone last night as was having a laugh with a mate

we both started off confident and the more we watched it the more we changed our mind

It defo hits the spurs player then mane but then it defo lands back on the spurs player
I can’t tell whether mane was out or spurs player in
I can only find one angle and in that I haven’t got a scooby so not sure falls I to clear and obvious. you think about balls crossing the goal line and how 11mm has been the difference.
Defo can’t be looking at that imho for everything
If it was really obvious fair enough but really not sure that was
To tell definitively we would need a camera from above the incident

The Reds defeated Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 away from home yesterday thanks to Roberto Firmino’s first-half strike. The victory put Liverpool 16 points clear at the top of the table.

To gain such a substantial lead, Liverpool have had to remain unbeaten in the Premier League thus far.

After 21 matches, the Reds have only dropped points in one fixture, which was the 1-1 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford back in October.

Lineker has taken to social media to react to Liverpool’s unbeaten run thus far.

Just watched the highlights and I feel I've let the second half overshadow an exceptional 1st half, we could have been 4 nil up by half time and out of sight.

Obviously not used to feeling so nervous anymore

They set up in a Jose way in the first half and got what they deserved. They did better in the 2nd half but we defended well.

If Jose had come at us from the start then he could have got something, he didn't so stop bitching.

If they'd have come at us from the start it would have given us more space behind them so we'd probably have been further ahead. They didn't really do much in the 2nd half until the last 15 minutes, as I recall, when they tried a smash-and-grab knowing they were only 1 down. If it had come off it would have been heralded as a Mourinho master-class.
But it didn't - so :emoticon-0172-mooni to them.
We were sloppy at times - Hendo in the first 15 minutes, Gini in the last, Gomez on and off throughout. If Spurs had been more clinical they might have exploited it more.
But they weren't, so more :emoticon-0172-mooni to them.

I agree but then again they may have scored so I'm glad they played the way they did. More proof of a has been manager.

As someone else has said, we deserved the win after the first half display. Their goalie made at least 2 excellent saves. Boring ****, Mourinho <ok>
