It's either Wilks or Samuelsen. Both fit the description he gave. I just wonder about Wilks given how stubborn Barnsley were being.
Typical to see people judging Odubajo without having any idea what actually went on. Does anyone know what contract he was offered? Does anyone no if he could afford to pay his mortgage based on the contract we offered him? If you do fair enough, if you don't, then you can't judge him. We might have offered him something he physically couldn't afford to sign. There is clearly a value in loyalty, and I understand that but he might have had to have moved on. I am not going to say he is right or wrong (Similar to Tymon), as I do not have the full facts. I will hold back on judging an individual and calling him all the names under the sun without having any facts in front of me. With regards to signing him, I haven't seen him play at all this year so have no idea how he is doing. On our signings, I like the players we are interested in. Bowen wise, I hope we keep him until the summer and that he doesn't rush into a decision as going to a club like Villa is a huge risk, it might pay off but it's a gamble he probably doesn't need to take as I imagine a few stable PL clubs are interested.
I'm underwhelmed if it's Wilks, doesn't strike me as someone who wants to be here, turned us down for Barnsley in the summer, so why should we be excited about getting him? He can't even get in their side.
I'm a bit the same, however, players can go to a team and for some reason it doesn't work out for them, they go to a new team and thrive. Lopes is a prime example, couldn't get into Wigan's team, and has arguably been one of our best players this season. I trust in Grant to get it right.
And that surely is the point. GMcC knows the lad well. He will know what went on in summer and what's gone on since. We don't. And he remembers his name IF it is him. OK,, I've only seen online stuff, but I really like the look of both Wilks and Samuelsen (not in an I'm attracted to them sort of way). Both are players who appear to enjoy, and are capable of, taking players on and beating them. That for me is a big part of what football should be about, not boring rinse repeat endlessly sideways or triangle passing. And both young. Interesting what GMcC, and to be fair, the Allams appear to be building (****, did I really just say that).
I think you are making the mistake of actually thinking about the situation rather than just calling him a **** which is easier
In his interview with Burnsy, Grant McCann implied a fee had been agreed for this new forward. I don't know how serious this court case hanging over Wilks is but would have thought its odd to be paying a fee for him at the moment pending that. I think it might be someone else, probably Samuelson.
Best way to have them, beaten not stirred, cooked with red onion and green peppers, on a Toasted slice of bruschetta bread, topped with grated cheese...... My ****ing tea tonight sorted...cheers !!!!!
Agreed. With so much to worry about in his personal life it must make it difficult to concentrate on football. Only idiots would take the risk of giving him a contract. He'll be a Hull City player by next Wednesday.
He probably cannot get into the Barnsley team because of the number of games he has already started and another will trigger another payment to the club they bought him from. We don't know but we do know that Barnsley are skint which is probably the reason they want to off load him. But we don't know. Who ever we get in its a bonus.
Reminds me, what's the difference between an egg and a w..., oh I expect you've heard that one before.
