Garry Monks team had a torrid Christmas, losing games against Bristol City, Stoke, Cardiff and Hull which saw the Owls drop to 8th place in the table on 39 points. Their nosedive ended last weekend when they knocked the Seagulls out of the FA Cup. Pablo Hernandez has recovered from injury, and has been working hard all week to build up his fitness. He is expected to at least make the bench. Jamie Shackleton is also on the comeback trail. The 20yo played thirty minutes for the U23's during their 5-0 demolition of Hull on Sunday evening. Bielsa is expected to drop Gotts, Stevens, Meslier and Berardi to the bench. Skipper Liam Cooper is expected to return to partner Ben White at centre back. Garry Monk will be without revitalised striker man Steven Fletcher. The 32 yo has been a vital presence up top for Wednesday, scoring 12 goals so far this term.
Shackleton been on the comeback trail since about 2018. I see this is set to be our biggest crowd of season. Nothing to do with fact wendies sold all their 2600 tickets but because of the large numbers of 606ers in attendance. Matt still a no show
This like most of the games in the Championship will be another tough one. But IMO after looking at our nearest rivals matches, we could pull away further,if we win.
You need to get some sleep I'm relying on you and Jammy for card counting at the casino and playing the bandits.
Good Morning to Matt and co from a dull Bardsey I wish all you travellers a safe journey today and to take back a WIN Wed will be without Fletcher who seems to be inspired when he plays us and Forrestieri who is just simply a nuisance Rumour has it we are after Bole and a young winger from Man City which will leave us wanting A CB
Brentford are looking good 2-0 up against QPR should have been 3 I think they’re going to be the main threat for the top two
Afternoon all, glad to see Douglas keeping his place at LB and a strong bench with Shackleton and Pablo making returns and a versatile Alioski however, if Bamford gets injured we’re screwed. Infuriating that we’re so close yet we continue to gamble in not having a striker on the bench
Think I just sent you a message to your profile but struggling to figure out how this works. Can you please add me to the steaming thread. At least that’s what my dad says I should ask. MOT
