Like the comment BBC relocating will not affect quality of programmes.........most of what is shown is bloody repeat anyway!! Interesting development re this, I guess as this is still at very early stages, identifying what could be knocked down and what cannot is still up for discussion...(although) I believe some of it has been listed as a heritage site (I stand to be corrected on this though)
Bullsh*t alert; âThe BBCâs Delivering Quality First (DQF) proposals are set to include an increase in repeats, a reduction to the budget of BBC4, and BBC2 Daytime to be replaced by rolling newsâ. Yep, thatâs my definition of quality right there!

"The BBC has already announced that Television Centre, its iconic Shepherd’s Bush headquarters, is up for sale, and Mr Thompson will say today that the broadcaster plans to exit West London entirely, with the sale of its White City building. Queen’s Park Rangers, the Premier League football club, is in negotiations over a move to the site."
CB they said some time ago that QPR were interested and i have no doubt we will get the site from what i read and listen to. We have always had good links with the BBC even though a few QPR fans think they are always against us.
BBC have never been against us! Back in the dark ages, of Match of the Day having 1 main match, and 2 short highlights, they always had us on standby, just in case the weather was bad. That's how we appeared on MotD so often in the 70's!
The Blue Peter Garden is Grade 2 listed so we will have to keep that. But it could turn out to be a useful bargaining tool if we need to persuade Adel to stay and SWP was promised full use of it when he signed his contract.
When they talk about the BBC White City site I'm presuming they mean the media village north of South Africa Road rather that the TVC site?
I think we are missing something here. Agree, the bit that we will need is the new part of the BBC site (old White city stadium) and not the old iconic building. Remember if we get a site we would do well to incorporate a Training ground with it. Let’s keep it all together like they do in Spain/Italy. You don’t move grounds every day so need to get this right. If we are serious as Mr Beard says then we need to be looking at something that we make us compete in the top division not just for now but for years to come. Agree with other posts in that we need a multi facility complex that can be used for other events (u21 England, Finals for low divisions, concerts, rugby and other entertainment events) We should also be looking at a hotel and QPR mega store. As for stadium size it should not be in regards to what we get now but our future prospects. I really hate the term ‘With capability to expand ‘. Get the stadium built and get the punters in as you don’t want start messing about 4-5 years after it’s built. It’s time we move forward and stopped looking back. Our owners are a good bunch that wants to turn our club into something special and we should embrace it. I never want to go back to the Championship and be a team that gets 2 minutes air time and 5 lines in the paper each week. I want to stay in the Premiership and enjoy playing the ManU/Arse/Spurs/Liverpools. So bring on White City.
