Now what makes you think that, billy ? Is it against the law to respond to idiots on this forum ? I see you have received a big 'like' from the 'Simple'ton,.
If they are that eager to come South let them start in the non leagues, and work their way up. That would be fairer to the existing lower league teams, and provide some useful revenue for Club's who are constantly struggling to pay their bills. It would take them a dozen years to get to the top, if they are good enough.
The issue is really that neither Celtic or Rangers want that. They expect a Prem spot. Of course, that's unfair.
We let the Welsh in. Not sure that we should be letting one in and not the other. Plus clubs as big as Rangers and Celtic can only benefit our game.
I'd be tempted to let the sweaties in, just to piss off the SNP. But ultimately England and the English FA would have **** all to gain from it, so whats the point. They want to be independent, that should go for football as well. Just because they see the PL is a cash cow and their piss poor league is about as entertaining and riveting as a bout of diarrhea after a moody kebab. **** em
They'll benefit the local police force for every away game that's for sure. You know me mate, I don't give a **** about this 'great league' nonsense and my interest is only Saints, so fail to see the benefit to our game. The only beneficiaries are them and the money people imo. They could be an independent nation soon anyway, so why not invite PSG in? I'd quite like Saints to play in the Welsh league tbh, might win something then.
They aren't an independent nation though and probably won't be in our lifetime. We can't make decisions about what could potentially happen way along in the future. There's people in Wales talking about independence for them, now. Although granted it's nowhere near as vocal as Scotland, but that could change. The benefit to the game would be bigger clubs, bigger attendances, better atmosphere and standard of the league would improve.
As I say mate, I couldn't care less about bigger clubs or bigger attendances, it means nothing to me. And I disagree that the standard of the league would be better - they'd just replace Chelsea and Spurs in the top 6. The bit about independence was tongue in cheek really but I don't think there's any place for them here. Should be all mixed or not at all imo. And no I wouldn't have the Welsh clubs either. Maybe they're a bigger deal to people up there due to proximity but no one down here gives a **** about them as far as I can see. All it would bring is more violence and anti social behaviour from their supporters (as you lot saw recently for a friendly)
What, and have hoards of befrocked ginger heathen marauding over the border every weekend? **** ‘em. Let ‘em stay in the pissing rain up there.
