... once again. I posted earlier about Methven still being around, stirring things and writing the club statement. I can see someone getting a clout at a match which would make us look bad .... .... is that the aim?
This is standard comments from a person of his type. They make these comments full well, as they believe it to be true. Then backtrack and apologise, meanwhile not in reality being sincere at all see the current prime minister for another example of this type. still the majority appear to want these people to rule their lives ad Infinitum.
Me Methman is a southern toff who went to Eton then Oxbridge. His sort view working class people as nothing more than cannon fodder. He is cut from exactly the same cloth as johnson. Their sort seem to believe that if they are involved in our every day lives then we should be grateful and woe betide if we question or criticize their motives. The wealthy and privileged expect a get out of jail card for all aspects of their lives and cant cope when the spotlight is shone on their slimey faces. I am sure there will be some on here who feel beholden to these rat bags and will claim their intimate knowledge of these venalistas renders others opinions of them invalid.
They are entrenched forever more. The one party state is alive and well. The opposition cannot compete. Scotland will leave, which will reinforce their hold on power. we’ve taken control back, what can go wrong? I’ve always fancied delayed retirement to 75. That would be fun actively seeking employment at 70 plus or you get sanctioned.
If that's what he did say, it's mostly inaccurate and the Times regurgitating this story just gives people the chance to play on their bitter old prejudices regarding tired old cliches about the so-called north/south divide. We'd all be better off not worrying about what Charlie Methven might or might not have said. It has no bearing on what happens to the club.
So let's get this right Lots of talk about these minutes being released so off he goes to the national press with a half hearted apology But still manages to big himself up about being the one who brought £10m into the club And also claims he resigned in September and was at the end of his three months notice So it had nothing to do with him leaving Oh and because he wants the world to see how much good he's done for safc and how unjustified the criticism is its now back to being an investment into the club not as he said earlier a loan to Madrox that Has no links to Sunderland AFC Only one thing CM cares about and that's CM
So he brought in a £10 million investment. So now it’s not a loan again? ****ing idiots. They don’t even know what it is themselves do they ‘oh **** we’ve got all these bigger boys money now’
I reckon starmer will get corbyn's job and will have a clear out of the ideologues. Funny how there is always money for bailing out banks and tax breaks for the wealthy but never enough for health, education and law/order. We need to have someone willing to make google, amazon and facebook et al pay their share or feck off.
If the belief is true that he wrote the article quoted by Private Eye I would ask why shouldn't he have? To me it makes sense, for someone who I believe still owns 6% of the club, to either be able to defend his actions or, if asked, write a few PR pieces. We must agree to disagree on this issue.
Canny, didn’t take long for the politics bollocks to be brought into this thread. let’s not worry about politics and let’s keep it about football you boring twats. Let the “experts” on the SMB discuss that ****e, don’t turn this forum into that place.
We should release a statement ourselves but we need to make sure that we agree on the content. I'll start... The members of not606 all agree that big boobies are fun to look at.
I don't like him but I don't think it's crazy if he writes the odd PR piece for his mate, given he also has a vested interest in it. Also don't think that article tells us anything we weren't aware of in general terms.
This. The plot isn't thicker at all. Just repeated and rehashed in a national newspaper. Fed up of it at the minute, supporting this club has become toxic and everyone just wants to out do each other on finding the most negative slant/'insight' they can. We're doing a little better on the pitch and I'm actually looking forward to the match tomorrow which is a nice change. Let's just hope we have at least a decent January transfer window now too.
Totally agree on the last part. I hold my hands up, I was unimpressed with Parkinson's input initially, but the lads look fitter and seem to at least have a plan in games. Willis staying fit is an important part of us shoring up at the back too. I'm not wholly convinced and one swallow doesn't make a summer, but hopefully we kick on from here.
You did say, "stirring things and writing the club statement". which I interpreted (possibly incorrectly) as a sign of disapproval..
