Replay at SJP to be on Tuesday 14th Jan With a 7.45pm kick off No mention if it being on tv as of yet Not sure whether this thread continues as the match day thread Technically the game hasnt been decided If we take this seriously and we get through we would be playing ..............
TBH I am looking at the replay as a small blessing in disguise now with all the injured players coming back it gives them and extra game to get minutes in before the start of what I'm viewing as the most important 10 games of the season - after the Chelsea game. Not saying they should all be near the starting line up in the next 3 games but a few will be able to start the Rochdale game and come off early in the second half and a few of them off the bench to get back in to the swing of things before we really need them at full fitness so potentially 6 of the injured getting vital min's in. With 15 injuries (according to physioroom - 14 if you discount Colback) getting 6 of them mins in a game (where lets face it if we go through great, if we don't most the fans are of the opinion its a waste of time going for the cups anyway so nothing to lose, a little something to gain in that regards) could be huge for the run in but need to make sure we don't exasperate the injury problems for them. Make it through vs Rochdale and the game against Oxford again could be massive for getting the walking wounded back out on the pitch on the 25th with Shelvey and Manquillo the only real two squad members without a return date before this game meaning: Gayle, Carroll, Muto, Almiron, St Maximin, Ki-SY, Lacselles, Dummy, Schar, Willems, Yedlin Clark could be in contention for that game and again get vital mins in.
