That's not freedom of movement, they can't just go live and work there for as long as they want.

"Single market membership also entails the rights for EU citizens from any country to work in any other country as a right. This freedom of movement does not exist (and will not exist) for EU citizens as regards access to the Canadian, Japanese and South Korean labour markets."

In fact can anyone name any free trade deals that include full freedom of movement, there must me hundreds around the world and I don't know of any like the EU single market where they can go as they please to work, claim benefits etc.

It appears that there were no US casualties, and Iraq is now saying that none of its security forces were killed, either. We'll find out in the days to come, but Iran may have targeting things, like the runways, where the likelihood of casualties were lower. It might also just be sheer good luck combined with satellite/radar detection providing early warning. Iran's also indicating that they will take no further steps unless the US escalates...they hit the base that launched the attack on Suleimani, and that's that.

If nothing else, it's a good reminder to the hawks cheering on war with Iran that its military capability is waaaaaay higher than that of Iraq circa 2003 (and that ultimately might be why Iran chose this option). Iraq could fire some wildly inaccurate Scuds; Iran has precision guided munitions that can hit targets with a high degree of accuracy. A war with Iran would not be contained in Iran, and it would be an order of magnitude more costly both in military and civilian lives.

Just a question really..What would you prefer, Blair in No10 without Pfeffel, Patel, Raab et al and still being in the EU? The Labour Party since 2007 has been in the hands of amateurs, totally outmanoeuvred by The Tories. OK, let's make the same mistake all over again!

I’d rather have a Prime Minister that doesn’t drag us into an illegal war.

So, in that case I take it you would rather have Pfeffel? Whatever his other actions that is one He has not yet committed.

I think you know what I think about Johnson. As you also know, I don’t share your infatuation with St. Tony.

It's about compromise though isn't it. You might want a car that does 150mph and 60 miles to the gallon. But in real life you have to choose one or the other or settle for something in between. Personally I would accept the shortfalls of Blair and Campbell if it meant my country not being influenced by pondlife like Francois.

Why is it about compromise, and why does it have to be a choice between two arseholes when there are alternatives?

Look at progressive thinking countries with brilliant PM's, such as Iceland with Katrín Jakobsdóttir, Finland with Sanna Marin and New Zealand with Jacinda Ardern.

If we never think differently, we will never see change and we will be stuck in this war mongering and 'money is king' mindless loop until we eventually destroy ourselves.

Then we just need a PM like one of those who our electorate will see fit to elect. What we can be sure of however that it isn't Becky from accounts who has seen fit to award the leader who brought us the worst defeat in more than a century ten out of ten for his leadership qualities. That is soviet style disinformation.

Is this not what we are trying to do regarding Brexit. Not saying it's right but being a part of the EU wasn't perfect either.

Blair took us into that disastrous illegal war with Iraq. So this probably isn't the right time to be holding him up as someone others should aspire to emulate.

No the EU wasn't perfect. Could be said, indeed I do say, that it's by far the lesser of two evils. We're giving/we've given up a position of influence and respect to face an uncertain future. The evolution of the EU will take place without any input from the UK.
