ayr,3 15: a small but open contest, and its ARDERA CROSS for me.he might have a viable fitness edge over some of his rivals today, and is better treated over hurdles than over fences, but hes run some nice races in that department recently.so,surely not out of this,if able to dictate..
Chepstow 4.00 Rooster Cogburn - Peter Bowen's runners often run well in handicap hurdles at Chepstow - lightly raced - hinted some promise on heavy ground Hopefully a lucky last each way shot at Chepstow today.
Ocean Voyage for me. This seems to be easier today and with Richard Johnson up looks good value at 5/1.
Ayr 3.45 Deluxe Range Stable bumper record at Ayr over the last 5 seasons: 14 Runs 2 wins 6 placed Didn't disappoint on debut when 7th of 14 on heavy. Could sneak a place at least at generous odds against debutants from bigger stables on this ground.
Wolverhampton 4.45 Bescaby With the Appleby yard in fine form this one is interesting on handicap debut with first time visor on.
Wolverhampton 5.45 Murqaab On December29th I posted in the sunny Southwell thread: "Southwell 1.50 Murqaab Showed that a return to form is not far away when 5th at this track 2 runs ago. Lewis Edmund back in the saddle and cheekpieces added today after Murqaab disappointed last time under an inexperienced ride. Well drawn in stall 3.Good each way chance" Murqaab finished 5th of 9 that day but it wasn't a bad run. Now on a career-low mark today in the 5.45 I wouldn't write him off. Has an entry for Southwell tomorrow where he is 2nd fav at the moment.
6.15 Manzil Maiden winner for Weld/Hamdan al Maktoum in Ireland and was given stiff tasks by recent connections when running in class 3 handicaps at Ayr and York last autumn. Down to class 5 for the first time today and down in trip after didn't get home when trying to make all over further.
Wolverhampton 7.45 Yimkin Surely needed comeback run after a break on debut for the Botti yard. Ran well on the all weather before and should have a nice each-way chance now back down in trip.
