Surely people are listing their magical 11? Every player has been put in the team as if they're at their peak. Nobody wants today's Koren or Rosenoir, or this Robertson kid, whoever he is. By the conventional measuring rules of a decade, Ashbee was here less than 10 years ago, ergo, he qualifies, and he would casually stroll into today's squad.

Wish I had a pony for every time some one on this forum has spelt his name like that.

I would be resident in the IOM by now

I wouldn't mind if I hadn't checked it before posting.

**** me, that's what I thought when I was confidently checking the spelling. "How have I never noticed that before?" I thought. Stupid brain.

But surely for a Best XI of the 2010s you would base it on their output for City in the 2010s, would you not? Otherwise, why bother mentioning the decade in the first place?

I think people are just wearing their rose-tinted specs in regards to Ashbee when it comes to this whole debate. If it was a Best XI for the 2000s, absolutely, as he was at his imperious best throughout that decade, but not one for the past 10 years, not a chance.

I don't get what people are missing here.

Should be Rosenoire in that case. Has he had an operation and moved to Switzerland ?

I would, yes. But as the question isn't "Who has contributed the most in the 2010s?", he's a perfectly valid inclusion. I'd have Stuart Elliot in there but there's no way I can twist the definition to make it mean what I want.

The question is the Best City XI of the last decade, as it says in the title.

This is silly, not gonna derail this thread any further.

Saw Wilbraham him make his City debut at Torquay. Came on after about 70mins. City 3-0 up...He got sent off on about 78mins for handbags, didn't do a great deal after that, shame as he looked okay.

TBH..I was struggling in those positions, I couldn't put Maurice Swan, and Dennis Butler, respectively.

Every time I see or hear Sagbo criticised I have to remind people who scored the late equaliser in 2014 FA cup third round away at Brighton..

And he is one of only a handful of Hull City players who have scored for us at Wembley.

I feel the same in regards to Proschwitz.

His 2 goals in the win over Ipswich and scoring on the final day against Cardiff, regardless of the penalty miss, mean for me he cannot be on a worst XI.

As poor as he was overall, he's too important.

Sagbo's a free agent, I'd have him back, he'd quite suit the way we play now.

I thought Sagbo held the ball up quite well and was pretty good at linking with other players. Never going to score many goals though.
