FAKE! These highlights last over two minutes. Have they spliced in some other games or something? Definite skullduggery involved.
Negatives Dull game Danso was playing himself into getting subbed, injury or not, he was awful. Watford ruined my accumulator in style. Positives Young guns goals We're in the next round Unbeaten steak goes on....Happy days
The performance today was pretty dire. I almost look like Ralph wanted to show why some players had been dropped during recent weeks. Vestergaard and Yoshida were way too careful and I have to say that I felt both Boufal and Adams looked totally ineffectual. It was not a good performance and the issues of lack of pace showed up yet again. I thought the youngsters took their chances well and that Long had to feed off scraps whilst continuing to scrap. I was underwhelmed by Danso too albeit I recognise he was played out of position. It struck me as a wasted opportunity and almost back to square one. Of the squad that played today, I can only see JWP, Armstrong, Long and Cedric being selected for Leicester. I am not even convinced the others did enough to get on the sub's bench. Obafemi looked Ok when he came on.
Unfortunately that’s largely because of today’s “playmaker” Boufal. Not once did he attempt a decent through ball to the strikers. Only interested in taking on players and trying to win free kicks. Must be so frustrating to play with.
You'll find it a lot more tender if beaten But seriously, Danso just confuses me as a signing. One for the future I guess. Loved the love given by senior players to the young 'uns scoring, I was heartwarmed.
Vokins played very well today. Knew he’d be good going forward but was pleasantly surprised by his strength and tackling. His performance was easily the most important thing that happened today.
Wouls love to see Danso played at CB. We know vestergaard is rubbish now, why dont we give Danso a go in his proper position? Also, smallbone was very solid as well as his goal. Hard to judge as huddersfield were completely ****e, but he is a big unit and seemed very composed. One to watch for sure.
Ah, I remember now why we never bothered much before. Going forwards it was like a slower version of the first team and I didn't think that was possible before today. Vestergaard still puts the fear of god into me whenever he has the ball. Che is never going to show what he can do if the service remains as bad as it was today. Pity the poor Huddersfield supporters who made the journey down for that. I don't know if they also rested players today but they showed no ambition or ability to create anything. Can't wait to miss the next round.
To me it was a typical early rounds of a cup disjointed match between two teams thrown together after a few days of training (which is completely different to a competitive game). I wasn't expecting a classic and we never got one but what we did get was through to the next round with the minimum of fuss and a couple of promising Academy displays.
Really annoyed that I couldn't find a Match Day Programme on sale anywhere, there were some about but no obvious outlet.
