Libby #meltdown incoming if the above happens. Took me about a week to get over the Derby replay last year iirc
I'd like to see Che get the nod to start on Saturday, the boy needs a goal regardless of all the loan talk. Quite fancy to trip to Wembley in May.
Last season is a prime example of why they shouldn't pick and choose. In the Newcastle v Blackburn game Blackburn had one ruled out by VAR for a tight offside. Queue the replay at Ewood Park with no VAR. Game heads into extra time and Newcastle score with an offside goal TWICE!
The Only Way is Cup! Love it That was the tune to my (now shelved) relegation anthem "We were going down Down to the lowest rung Living below the dotted line, Sure ain't no fun If we should be evicted From our home We’ll just move somewhere else And still carry on Hold on, Hold on, Oooooohhh (They used to call it The Endsleigh) Hold on, hold on, wont be long THE ONLY WAY IS UP....RAL-PHY! For you and me now"
Time to dig this out again, one of my favourite games of the Liebherr era and one that Whispering Dave described as DC (different class) on Solent IIRC. We were completely dominant on the night and completely demolished a promotion rival with a wonderful display of flowing attacking play...
I can't see many turning up for this one despite the price, January weather and apparently nobody gives a **** about the early rounds. That said I'm taking my little girl to it as her first game, the time is right to make sure she will always be a Saint.
Deano! Deano! Deano! Miss that team, even "he's always offside" papa Waigo. Judging by the commentator, it was obviously before the fans started singing Lee Barnard, Barnard He's short but he's ****ing hard He's better than Frank Lampard Lee Barnard, Barnard
There's something special about hearing the Rickie Lambert song from our League 1 days too. 'He'll take us to the Premier League'... Prophets and Saints are basically the same thing right?
I'm going and hoping for a really good match. Ralph said in his match preview that there will be changes so it it will be interesting to see what team he goes with. Huddersfield are likely to have their thoughts on survival in the Championship so I can't see them putting out their strongest team, if they have one. This could be a golden opportunity for Che Adams so I hope he plays, along with a few of the 'in the squad but never seen' players. For a pessimist, I'm sounding very positive these past few days. It must be the bang on the head and a New Year that's affected me. Hopefully the weather will hold up, but it will probably rain at some point. That's better, back to normal please log in to view this image
I expect us to win, but anything can happen in the Cup....especially if players are rested. Surely Ings won't play. Just seen Klopp complaining about the scheduling and the possibility of a replay v Everton* (admittedly not as annoying as Mourinho....but then who is?). Always gets my goat that big clubs (who presumably have stronger squads than the rest of us) are incapable of squad management, whereas everyone else just gets on with it. Just a hint, Jurgen. No replay if you win.
Kloppwomble. League wrapped up. Far off money making tour platitudes cashed. Highest paid players, massive squad and great academy. Shut the hell up moaning mertle. Pretty sick of hearing the moans now. And btw, there won't be a replay, Everton are taking this seriously.
Just bought tickets. First game since preseason, as I'm desperately trying to save money this year. Couldnt say no to those prices though! Up the saints.
When he's had a drink he's hard, He's wanted by Scotland yard, Lee Barnard, Barnard I remember him making an appearance as a sub, with his hand all bandaged up following his nightclub fracas, and as he bore down on the opposition keeper, some wag behind me shouted "Knock him out!"
