He is valued on the BBC website at £7.36 million. We could sell him 50 times over for that price. Realistically I think we will see £15 plus sell on and appearance clauses.

Allam said he wouldn't sell for £20m and he's a man of his word.

Fair point. But hardly strikers. If I was paying £20m for a untried kid to put the ball in the onion bag i'm not sure JB would be my 1st choice.

You couldn’t see him getting into three struggling sides??
There are plenty who do make the step up

So, if we got promoted we'd be looking to replace him, only not with anyone from the lower leagues because they might not make the step up?

    But 10 or 15 million isn't 20 million?

Good point. We could sell Bowen for £1.38p and he'd still have been true to his word :emoticon-0112-wonde

I don't have a problem with the kid, but I somehow think he'd struggle to step up to the grade, but eh I've been proven wrong in the past. I suppose we'll only find out for sure if and when he leaves.

However, someone I know and who's opinion I respect reckons he could be the new Mo Salah so maybe he'll be a huge success in the prem.

If Andre Gray was worth £18.5 million at 26 years old (2 years ago) you can see where the valuation comes from

Dan James, was untried & similar in a lot of ways to Bowen, not so much playing style other than they play on the wing.
If Solskjaer is still trying to build a young British team, he could do a lot worse than shell out £20 million + on Bowen!

The reason most players fail to make the step up is that their effort levels drop when they think they’ve made it. Everything I’ve heard about Bowen suggests he’s the hardest trainer at the club and is totally dedicated to reaching his potential, so I can’t see any reason why he won’t be successful in the prem.
