To rub more salt into the wounds, we almost certainly still owe more in payments to Wigan than we could ever hope to recoup if we got rid. Utterly abject in every aspect.

Sad, but true. Mind I don't think it will be too much more now.

Out of the £4m bandied about, there was supposedly £1M of that if we reached the Premier League, so I would expect there to be at least 500k bonus payment for reaching the Championship that won't need to be paid. That leaves £2.5M. I'm guessing we would have paid £1-£1.5M to Wigan already. So if we can recoup £750k-£1M,there will only be a relatively small surplus. Worth cutting our losses imo, particularly in view of the fact that we would be paying him 200k+ in wages for the rest of the season for bench warming.

I think that Donald said the initial fee was £3m with it only hitting £4m if we reached the top flight. A disaster of a deal either way.

It appears that he doesn't want to be here, but is he going to want to go elsewhere for significantly less wages?

I might have missed it, but I can't recall him putting an actual figure on it. I think he just said it was considerably less than £4m. With having the clause in for reaching the Premier, I'd be surprised if there wasn't similar for reaching the Championship. Particularly as we were always in the top 4 around last January, which would lead Wigan to believe that they stood a pretty good chance of that clause being activated.

It might have been in one of the podcasts where he specified £3m.

True it's obvious he has no desire to be here.

This says a lot about Stewart. Grigg needs two wingers and a number 10 to function.

The daft lump saw "top scorer", heard the Will Grigg's on fire chant then blew his entire budget on a player who couldn't score in Ross's team.

He has been an utter flop, if we had signed a half decent striker, instead of him, we would have achieved auto promotion, simples.

Unused again. Imo if he is off, I don’t want it to be the likes of Blackpool in our league as we now appear to be on a roll and seeing him score there would be a crippler

Problem atm is that he doesn't fit anywhere in our most effective set up which relies on a battering ram and mobile "assistants". He certainly can't play Wyke's role, although neither can anyone else on our books
