I’ve got it recorded and can’t wait to watch it. It has been too long since the last new one. I really enjoyed the last season.
Rather extraordinary day coming up in a month's time. The 2nd of February, or 02/02/2020. And even the USA will have the same nomenclature. Just for that day.
Fine. As long as they split at the end of it. Living through endless ABBA everywhere you went, when you a were teenager into Progressive Rock, was not a fun time. I don't even like their music in nostalgic retrospect.
A Glaswegian takes his new girlfriend to meet his parents. This is Amanda His dad jumps out of his chair It's a f**king what?
Watched the first 30 minutes of Dracula. Not bad, not bad at all. Actually typical of Marc Gatiss and Co to upplay the shocking and downplay the fill in of the story, Instead, they've built a whole new perspective from a spectacularly altered Jonathan Harker, who states the steps of his captivity and beyond. It's well done so far. I hope it doesn't descend into total BS, as I am still enjoying it. "Faith is a sleeping draft for simpletons and children " Woohoo, now that's the kind of stuff I like. My own "faith" is scientific method. No BS. EDIT: I get increasingly bored with scheduled TV. I watch so little of it these days. It's probably my own span of attention, but I didn't make it to the end. I'll have another go over the weekend. It does have promise, but it didn't keep me spellbound.
Australian bushfires. Their increasing frequency, number and strength is directly attributable to HICC. So far, this time round, around 480 million animals have died in the fires. This is of course an estimate, but it's almost certainly extremely accurate, within +/- 5%. This is what we continue to do with our home. We have many animal lovers on this forum, so this video might unduly upset you. Don't watch if you are easily disturbed by an animal in pain and fright: Still want to do nothing?
Obviously, I couldn't leave it like that. The original video was from mid November [remember, they are still going], and days later there was a follow up video. The little Koala is feeling a tad better:
Thank god for that. 48 million creatures are dead but a half toasted Koala has survived. I'll tell Noah not to bother picking him up on the way past. Excuse my sarcasm, but these fires really exacerbate my eco depression.
I understand your sarcasm and your eco-depression. The second video was meant to soften the blow somewhat. But let's not run away with the idea that everything returned to being hunky-dory because of it. I hope you didn't think for a microsecond that I was suggesting it was all-ok? Otherwise, you haven't been reading my environmental messages, HR. Can we do this? I mean, limit climate change? Yes, of course we can. Will we? At the moment I very much doubt it.
It died TSS, apparently too severely injured. The wildfires have been devastating to wildlife, plus forests that don't usually burn have gone up too. Houses can be rebuilt but you can't just replace hundreds of millions of animals so the whole ecosystem may never recover.
I'm almost cynical enough to think that Trump wanted to bring the attention of the news back to the Northern Hemisphere with his Iraq bombing. Actually, I am cynical enough about that bastard. I put nothing past him.
