you said deliberate wasnt mentioned, i was showing it is. None of these occurred in this case imo. It wasnt unnatural, it wasnt above the shoulder and wasnt deliberate. Unless we're talking about a difference incident than i am.
Well there’s something you don’t often see around Christmas / New Year. Saints putting a run together An away win at Chelsea A battling 1-0 win without conceding a last minute equaliser A MOTM performance from Stephens Spurs losing despite having Jasper Carrot as their referee
Massive negative = VAR. Only 2nd game I’ve to this season but feel it’s ruining the game for spectators. Yes they will get every minute detail 100% correct but in my opinion the rules don’t need to be implemented in that way. Sure occasionally officials get it wrong but it usually evens out. The better team over 90m invariably wins. Whinge over.
actually ive just seen a replay from the other side and yeah that probably should be a penalty Live i thought it came off his other arm i think. its not how i remember it.
Exactly, referees (epl/professional) are biased towards the big clubs so why should we expect VAR to be any different? Not expecting you to agree with that but absolutely convinced
Not so. There was no year 0 AD. First year was 1 AD, so the first century finished on 31st December 100 AD.
According to the VAR table its taken points off every big club except Liverpool and United. Edit, okay spurs too. TBH its been pretty even
It doesn't matter anyway really, first one that's really got against us and didn't affect the result so can't complain. Well I might, but you get the point
The really annoying thing is that VAR is simply being introduced to compensate for crap refereeing. But continuing the whinge theme, can we ban those ‘please can I have your Shirt’ signs
Amazing result going into a tough run of fixtures. Well done Ralph, well done Saints. Happy New Year!!
Just got back, and boy was that worth going to. What a team performance and every player put a massive shift in. I lost count of the cut-outs and blocks the defence did today, or the number of times we fought to win the ball back. That was another classic fighting performance from a team that is starting to look very composed and sure of themselves. What can you say about Danny Ings, other than he really is an utterly brilliant player. The way he turned Alderweireld inside-out after picking up Jack Stephens pass and then scored had the whole stadium on their feet. Sheer brilliance. Spurs looked flat after the goal and they were not being given much space to play their game. Dele Alli is a horrible little twat but not one Saint rose to his niggling and pointless intimidation. McCarthy stood his ground and our back four effectively shut him and Kane out of the game. It was a real joy to watch a composed and effective defence. I'll be here all night if I go through every player but just to say Jack Stephens was my man of the match, with Cedric a close second. It was great to hear the Saints fans singing so loudly, roaring the team on and there was a great positive feeling in the crowd. It was really noticeable the longer the game went on, the quieter the Spurs fans were and the louder we were. Lots of the disabled fans we were with were shouting and clapping and doing their best to sing along. The funniest part of the whole afternoon was when the Saints fans started singing ..... "**** off Mourinho.....**** off Mourinho.....**** off Mourinho". The laughs and sniggers all around us was hilarious and well worth the price of the ticket. A huge thanks to Ralph and every one of the Players for making a lot of smiles happen today, and a perfect start to a new decade. My Sausage and Mashed Spuds tea was bloody lovely
