So in a nutshell Both sides looked tired Wolves rarely troubled us Storm brewing over a LEGITIMATE goal we scored No mention of the ref getting it totally wrong in the first place We are saved by one of those marginal decisions that we have had two/three given AGAINST us this season already Did I miss anything lol
Nuno Espirito Santo: "The VAR referee is miles away taking decisions on a lot of things happening here. Who is inside the game? Who feels the intensity and the flow? The referee here." The rules say you're allowed to be a little offside if your fans are intense enough, Nuno?
That is a great 3 points as Wolves are a seriously impressive team . Still hate VAR though even if it rightly corrected Taylors error .
This should actually be dressed up as a good day for VAR, e.g. this is what it should be doing? To try and rule out our goal for Lallana’s shoulder control was ridiculous, correctly given the ok and it stands - you simply couldn’t disagree with that, even the bitterest would surely agree that was the right call. And then the offside, I know it was close but it was offside... not a one of those pathetic armpit and diagonal line jobs, he’s foot/leg was ahead of the defender - that’s an offside call correctly taken. Laughable that this game will be lambasted for VAR, it should be praised
Said similar to people all night Think you are spot on The issue today is with the rule not VAR oh and Taylor being a **** ref
He was ****ing woeful, I ended up just clapping and laughing along as he waived absolutely everything away
Someone mentioned it already in another thread but VAR was meant to be for clear and obvious. The wording certainly needs changed to clearly missed by Ref and obviously going to VAR.
He nearly always loses control of games Sure I have said this before I certainly don’t think he is bias against :for anyone He is totally inconsistent in his own decisions. I am certain there will be another post of mine like this from years ago but it’s as if he tries to let the game go but then changes his mind then just loses it Out of the game he seems nice enough - he is just not a top level ref imho
VAR doesn’t help with the timing in fairness, the review for ours should literally be ‘no it was his shoulder, goals good’ - all of what, 10-12 seconds?? It takes about 2 minutes for absolutely no reason and the Wolves players and fans naturally think they’ve been mugged! Instant decision for obvious mistakes would go along way to keeping control of games
They were looking at the VvD handball before he hoofed it up the field but "decided" two passes were too far to go back and cancel the goal despite them going back much further in other games.
