You don't need to be a big lump to play upfront. Grosicki, Bowen and KLP are all very inter-changable, a decent clever player with speed upfront would be just as effective as Eaves losing the ball constantly. Bowen would win more balls upfront on his own than Eaves. The worst thing we could do for KLP development is loan him out, hes fine here where he is. To say he's not a striker is mental, the bloke can finish, something which you can't teach. KLP went on loan to Bradford Park Avenue last year, hardly started and didn't score. Worst thing that could happen is loan him out to some League Two hoofing outfit to get smashed all over the park
No criticism of him, he’s just unlikely to get on unless Jordy or Reece get crocked, though personally, I’d be more than happy with him coming on in place of Honeyman.
McCann already rubbished the rumours about Lyndon Dykes. The two bids might not be a striker and a midfielder. It’s probably safe to assume one is Herbie Kane, but I couldn’t tell you who the other one is.
According to the mighty Footballinsider247.com, we have opened talks with Barnsley to sign Malik Wilks. Obviously they worked together at Doncaster, him and McCann, but he has 1 goal in 15. Either he thinks he can get more out of him, or once again we are taking backup players off Barnsley to appease the fans.
Both, handily. If true, then McCann thinks he can get the best out of him. I thought it was a good idea letting him go elsewhere and see how he did. Not been that impressed with him tbf, I thought we’d dodged a bullet. But, as always, if he ends up in black and amber, he gets the support.
We had the option to sign Wilks in the summer but we wouldn't pay the fee Leeds wanted for him. Also Wilks has an upcoming trial in the summer of 2020 hanging over his head.
If, after once again getting confirmation in the last game that Kingsley is utter gash, McCann isn’t searching for a decent left back then he can **** the **** off.
While I agree about the loan situation and klp, Bowen cannot do what Eaves does. The fact that we play with a lone striker results in balls that are lumped up to Eaves that he cant always control and is more to do with simple maths 1 striker 4 defenders. Is Bowen going to beat 4 men to balls just lumped up front?
Yep, injured From what I hear people don’t think he’s very good However when he’s fit I hope they’re wrong
He’s played about 20 minutes, if he’s being written off after that then our fans really are impatient.
