Good to see you made it from old 606, Inda He's just one of those players that Spurs fans take too early on and he always loves celebrating infront of the fans because of it. There have always been question marks over his temprement and the way he's started the season with such a poor start to the season, I think we need to see the back of our Super Pav.
I think that all fans like a player that's capable of doing something a bit special and some of Pavlyuchenko's goals are just that. His volley against Bolton, for example, was absolutely outstanding. It probably typifies his time at Spurs that we lost that game.
I think the problem with our forwards is that we have all known for a few seasons now that individually they have strengths, but there are no stand-outs. Defoe and Pav will undoubtedly score the most, but the former is greedy and not the best link-up player, whilst the latter offers more of a target but never exerts himself. Crouch was much less of a goal-scorer but always tried his best, was decent in the air and when played with Defoe, could provide a threat. He couldn't however, play the lone ranger role as he was neither strong enough nor had the pace. Defoe has the pace but no power, whilst Pav lacks energy and has a poor first touch. In short - the arrival of Adebeyor has shown up all three, as he offers height, power, pace and calmness in front of goal. If only we had signed someone similar last season we would probably finished top four. Hopefully Pav will depart in Jan and we can sign a decent replacement. If we can somehow get Leandro through our connections with Internacional, then a front three of Adebeyor, Leandro and Defoe is very good, especially with VDV able to play as the second striker if required, and the likes of Kane and Coubilay in reserve. Oh, and let's see the back of Dos Santos and Gomes also. Decent players but have regressed since arriving.
