That wasn't even the promotion season! Owing to weather, we had a weirdly quiet December in the year we escaped League One...a mere two games, 1 win and 1 draw, because it's easy to forget that we used to play in a competition where proper drainage and undersoil heating were marks of luxury.
Our poor GD could cost us several places....may even cost us a European place , so I'm going for a 10-0 to Saints. A 1-0 win will also be acceptable.
I'm quite optimistic we can take a point today. This optimism could evaporate completely in seconds, or it could grow into an irrational conviction that we'll actually win.
A common dilemma Hopefully rising up the table and providing some joy for the home crowd will provide motivation enough They need to know we’ll love em if they play well and win. Let that be enough ... ... please
You could lay that claim to every fact ever. But it won't stop them getting mentioned. Here's another. We've won more games against Palace by % in the EPL than any other team. (of which we have played more than 10 times)
It won't matter if we're 8-0 up, or 1-0 down and battering their goal with shot after shot, or 5-5, with constant end-to-end flowing moves from both sides, people will still leave ten minutes before the end, as getting home before the crowds appears to trump any concept of being a supporter, or being entertained. There, that should provoke a few responses, even if everyone agrees. Back on topic, we'll win 2-0, with Che Adams getting both.
What utterly bizarre timing with a dig at our fans! We have suffered badly with our stagnant ownership & our form has been dreadful before this little upturn. With ticket prices higher than ever before and away tickets harder to get due to ****ty allocation. We've put up with some right **** from this owner, and so if the guy next to me wants to leave early, then I won't judge him for that.
2-0 Saints - Adams and Armstrong. The AA. I remember in the 90`s Blackburn had Shearer and Sutton - the SAS. Aberdeen had Shearer and Dodds.
I'm wondering how much confidence will play a part since the two cracking results. I fancy a 2-1! Could this be Che's day? Surely soon. Che to score and Saints to win 2-1 at 70/1.
