Just like our game against Chelsea in the Prem last season then. Beaten at the death by an Azpiilcueta 2 yards offside goal. The lino admitted he'd missed it because Willian's hair obstructed his sight line....<laugh><doh>

If they had VAR in the Prem last year like this season, that win for us would have kept us up instead of slumming it with you lot.

We are all on board then! All refs are ****e and biased against our team (whoever's it is).

Piss off Jammy - you're just upset that since Glory went there's been nobody intellectually superior to you on here.

We do get some shocker ref performances to be fair. Our player sent off in the first few minutes and a penalty against us away at Millwall. Later rescinded but too late by then. Watched the game yesterday with a couple of neutrals (Spuds) who hadn't watched the Championship for a while. Both said the match was dire and the ref even worse. They went off to watch the fecking Greatest Showman on DVD after 80 mins of 'festive' football from Elland Road! so it had to be bad.

Simply not good enough, that performance was unacceptable!

    Positives

    Fortunate to gain a point.
Lucky to go in only one down at half-time
    Better 2nd half.
    Nketiah made an impact.
    Eddie's saved header.
    Ali's strike against the woodwork
Phillips only decent cross for Ali's header.
    Dallas deflected late equaliser.
Eight points clear of 3rd place
Still only one defeat in our last twelve games
    Averaging two points a game

    Negatives

The worse opening 30 minutes I've witnessed at ER from a Bielsa team.
Atrocious passing particularly from the back.
    Poor retention of the ball.
Some of our players looked like pre-Bielsa.
    No leader.
Liam was like Cooper of old, Captain Chaos came back to mind.
    Ayling was woeful
Where have the 9/10 Kalvin performances gone?
Without Pablo, Phillips should have been taking control of our midfield, some glimpses of his form late on.
    Was Klich playing?
Alioski is not a good defender
Alioski's shot from three yards nearly hit me in row Q of the kop.
For all I love Dallas's endeavour, he is not a central midfielder.
Bamford subbed ? there were others far worse than our No.9.
Harrison holding onto the ball far too long.
    Weak bench, nothing new there.
If we are promoted, on performances of late this lot won't survive the premiership
Yet another team that cheated & wasted time once we got a grip of the game. A horrible championship trait these days. Something needs to be implemented to stop the spoilers.
    Poor referee.

I thought I was watching a Sunday pub league side. No wonder Eddie got a 7.

Watched a bit of the Barnsley/baggies game... barnsley should have won... played some nice stuff... didn’t notice Halme so much, but odour looked quite good... two kids Taylor and Williams looked like players. Much better than their league position suggests... just leaked like a sieve for most of the season.

I just watched a video of our goal it was probably Aylings only decent pass of the game. One thing about Dallas he does not give up.

Dallas is a baller. I’d never seen him get really riled before yesterday, but at one point I thought he was going to belt somebody and get sent off, great to see how much it meant to him that we were losing. I was delighted that It was him who equalised. <ok>

I suspect he might be worried about tossing his hairdo. Mind you, there’s lots of footballers in that boat

I was watching the game with my mate and funny enough I said to him about Eddy only being on the pitch 5 minutes and that despite him being the smallest guy on the field his headed shot was better than Bamford had managed the entire game.

Do defenders fear his pace so afford him a little more space as they ensure they are goal side assuming he wouldn't win anything in the air?

I’ll say this for Eddie... his pace frightens defenders, often seems to find an extra yard of space so he can turn and run at them... and gets quite a few crosses in when others would be blocked.

he’ll be a player for a team that can fit him in their system.. or are prepared to build a system around him.

    Good points and I agree.

Seems that he's improved since the start of the season, particulary impressive yesterday was his movement, also his abilty to create half a yard of space was, as you state, clearly visible and equally impressive.

As mentioned yesterday I feel he could have made some sort of verbal statement about his intentions for the rest of the season. It's entirely possible though he just feels he doesn't need to respond to rumours and transfer gossip and is just getting on with the job in hand.

Would imagine he's now very close to starting, clearly he's chomping at the bit and raring to go and with two more games coming in quick succession he would have every right to feel extremely disappointed if he didn't start at least one of them.

In addition, what I would say is that if he feels he can find a better place for his development then he's wrong. The whole stadium is so clearly behind him and urging him to do well that he sort of has a free pass to try anything out there. Not many players are afforded that luxury from an expectant and at times critical ER crowd. He's experiencing high presssure, high stakes football and he should enjoy and love every minute if it.
