I do but that was a manager who did win the chekatrade and finish in a playoff last season and had been in place for a number of years Parkinson is a clone of Grayson, and the performances and press conferences are identical, there is no comparison whatsoever between him and jackett parkinson will take safc to the brink of league two. He has to go I know you feel that I’m being hysterical but the evidence is all there if you care to look Doncaster Fleetwood Lincoln Wycombe as it stands that will be another four games with no wins. That is simply down to form and evidence on the pitch if it happens that will be from 2-11-19 till near the end of January with no wins. personally speaking I think that will prove beyond doubt he is not up to or up for the job
Would be interested to know what he would get if he was sacked. A cynical person might think a manager of his caliber might look forward to a NY payoff? How much did Ross get? My God it’s depressing
Well I checked to see if Parkinson had been sacked yet... apparently not.. So not much to say or do till he is!
In which case I'm not sure why you appear to be likening the situation to that of Jack Ross. As for the rest, I certainly aren't predicting wins but seeing as Lincoln gave us a right football lesson when we played them last I can't see us performing any worse than under JR. Meanwhile I'll try to view us as "unbeaten in two" and keep my fingers crossed, because PP isn't going anywhere soon so getting stressed will only hurt me and no-one else. I started to disconnect when MON had us playing an "antidote to football" and I began to realise that letting something over which I had absolutely no control shouldn't be having such a large impact on my life. I gave up my season ticket and took up golf again (not that I have a lot of control over that either!) while going to a few games. Have to admit to not going at all this season so far and I probably won't until there's a likelihood that the atmosphere is less than poisonous - which might be a while away I know.
Your story almost mirrors mine. I never wanted MON as manager, I recalled the negative footie the Mighty Celtic played under his tenure. Their fans could not wait for him to go. Our football under him was so dire, and that coupled with us being in a downward spiral was enough for me. I gave my season card away and I’ve not been back. I was sick of all the false dawns, and every change going tits up!! I said at the time I would only return when we were at least giving teams “a game” in the PL. I honestly felt that if the right appointments were made, that wouldn’t be long. We were nearly there when Big Sam was here, and I was ready to renew my season ticket. Of course the rest is history. But being a fan you just cannot get SAFC out of your system, and I still follow them avidly, albeit from a distance. I never thought things would get this bad, and I genuinely fear we may be in League 2 next season. When a player like 09 is considered to be one of our shining stars by our fans, and those who still go to the SOL, it beggars belief - he is very average at best. I pray every day for a turnaround but fear it’s a long way off. I think more should boycott the club, as this may hasten SDs departure. SAFC till i die. Bart
Me too, I gave up regular attending under Bruce. and would only go back if i was convinced that we had a manager who knew what he was doing, only Big Sam has succeeded in the last 10 years imo.
Probably shouldn't of been appointed in the first place but the fact is he's here now and I think he will be getting the transfer window. I've read he's slow at getting clubs going which on that basis surely Donald did his homework and bore that in mind. SD has sown the seed and i can't see him trampling on the shoots until after he waters them to see what grows. So on that basis I'm hoping for a turn of results and with decent recruitment a push for the playoffs. As poor as results are at present i dont believe a change in manager so soon after the last will help tbh. We could of/should of beat Bolton, A poor decision on a potential match winning goal, But ultimately, it's such a depressing shìtfest at the moment i really wouldn't be upset if he is sacked.
