As Ralph himself has said, the squad is not good enough - but only to the extent that we have no depth of cover in midfield and at the back. But unless we are in Europe that's financially our limitation. Very happy with what we have and if we manage two signing in the window I shall be ecstatic.
Fair play. We’ve all said things over the last few months that will likely sound daft at some point or other.
I think this team may have finally won me back over after that 9-0 drubbing ... it's taken a while, but I ****ing love each and every one of them.
I've blocked that shameful night out. But truth be told, your team are little like family. You support them when they don't deserve it, and revel in their success when they earn it. Feels nice turning the proverbial corner.
What astounded me today was this board at 1-0. I lurked and saw that we were full of confidence. At 1-0. At half time. See positivity works. I think I may take a new career path as a life coach or something.
We definitely have. And I've always liked Armstrong. At the same time, I don't think the difference is Armstrong. Or at least not just Armstrong. We look so much better in every facet of the game that it would be urealistic (and unfair) to expect any one player to bear that much responsibility. I mean, I don't really know what's going on. I imagine it was several things that snowballed into better performance that led to better confidence that then snowballed into the side we saw today which was unrecognizable from what we were seeing 5 weeks ago.
We were so much better than Chelsea. It was almost unbelievable. I still had the pessimistic thoughts creeping in at 1-0, but once we scored again, there was only one team in it. Amazing result. Hate playing Chelsea at xmas......not anymore!
That result was mentioned in the post match interview with Ralph and it was refreshing to hear him say, when the players’ attitudes were mentioned, that he had made mistakes and had learned from it.
With the gap we've opened up to Watford and Norwich, we can now afford them the occasional victory against the other relegation sides - thus helping us out in the process. (Although until/unless the gap becomes 13+ points, I'd still say that draws are the best outcome.)
Definitely. I said we needed him as he is different to our other midfielders That and the change to 442 and EVERYONE is playing better So much more energy, so much better organisation Playing like a Team Great to see Nathan and MichaelO get a goal apiece Clean sheet ... I'm sorry, what was that? ... CLEAN SHEET
Keown said he thinks he’s the best manager we have had since MP . He also praised Ralph for putting his hands up after THAT game , and saying he got it wrong .
