It looks like it may have been a chant of "cheat, cheat, cheat" that has been mistaken for monkey noises.
I do hope that's so and Rudiger retracts the allegation. However, until a conclusion is reached, the club are right in saying... "Please be assured we shall be exhaustively investigating this matter...At this time however we should point out that our findings are inconclusive and would ask that comment is reserved until the facts are established." Fat chance of the hacks reserving comment, though. It's a gift for them and the know nothing politicians.
If jose ,had a great squad . i would drop and fined ,that coward son. threw the game for spurs. must, not of wanted to run any more .
Didn't help though that Fat Frank tactically dicked over Jose. The mistakes by Gazza and Son ultimately ****ed us but their three at the back nullified our attack (no shot on target til 94th/ 95th min), especially as we had zero creativity in the middle, yet had Tanguy, Gio and Eriksen all start on the bench. Three big games in the Prem under Jose and lost two now, not great for a guy who was supposed to install a winning mentality on the team.
At a guess, this is why we're appealing Son's red card, as it happened just before he lashed out please log in to view this image ...which is not exactly a good basis for an appeal, as saying "Sir! Sir! Rudiger punched him first sir!" doesn't mean Sonny didn't then clatter Rudiger afterwards, while also advertising to every other ****ehouse player that Son's easy to wind up (although that was already pretty obvious after the Bournemouth match last season)
There are always opposition fans who are not in the correct area. At all three CL games there have been some seated in the row in front or the row behind and we all remember the farce of the two hundred or so Red Star supporters. These people are getting the tickets from Spurs members or possibly from the ‘authorised sellers. It is up to the club to take action to this happening and it is up to us fans to tell the club when we see it. Even if it doesn’t get the card rescinded it should enable retrospective action against Rüdiger. I doubt it will happen though as he is not a Spurs player.
I can't think of anyone on this site that would have played a Dier/Sissoko two man pivot in Sunday's game. Chelsea saw how we'd been setting up since Mourinho pitched up, countered it and destroyed us. We were totally overrun in midfield and our forwards were starved of service. It's not the first time that it's happened in recent weeks. United and Wolves were identical. We just about held Wolves out but our defence is creaking and sitting back playing for a clean sheet and attacking with 4 forwards on the break, is just mad. Allowing Mourinho to walk away from that performance is not on. If that's all he's got up his sleeve, he can **** off right now. He's got plenty of good players to pick from, so there's no excuses to keep selecting Dier, who would struggle to get on the bench at any other PL side. Sure, there's some poor performances right now but we have a right to expect such an experienced manager to do a whole lot better than in his three big games so far.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50901648 A bizarre take from Lampard. I suspect that he's just trying to deflect any criticism of his player's ****ty actions. Rudiger's integrity has nothing to do with the racism claim. There's either evidence to support it or there isn't. The man's character doesn't factor into it and I'm sure that virtually nobody thinks that he made it up. If Fat Frank does think that his integrity comes into it though, then perhaps he should coach his players not to act like ****ers? Probably too much to ask, eh?
The biggest issue is that all of us can see a Dier/Sissoko pivot only serves to negate anything we try and do as that pairing has the playmaking potential of a bucket of wet sand as they're the two midfielders we have whose greatest weakness is passing If the plan going forward is for a DM/CM pivot (and with the Soumare rumours increasing in volume in the last couple of weeks this indicates that we will, albeit with a change in personnel) the worst thing to do is just bung the first two players that come to mind in there and instead think of how the ball will move through the area to the forward line. A pivot of Dier/Ndombele or even Dier/Winks will have at least one player capable of moving the ball quickly, but if the latter in either option is unavailable that's no reason to plonk Sissoko or Wanyama in there just to fill the gap as they'll only take away from our forward momentum every time the ball comes to them
We ban people for throwing cups? Explains why Pochettino's not allowed at the ground after Colchester, I guess...
