Remember my Dad having high blood pressure, and was told if it ever got to 200 call an Ambulance straight away.
My doc was about to do just that and would have if it hadn't settled back to 190 after 20 minutes of rest - was I glad! He stuck me on a calcium channel blocker (Felopidine) straight away and my BP dropped lime a stone over the next week.
Bloody hell, we’re all at it - my bp was routinely measured at 190/110, and I was duly packed off to the A&E. Now on Amlidopine and I’m the proud possessor of an Omron M3 with a go-faster stripe. Merry Christmas to all my fellow Not606 crocks, let’s hope some of us make the New Year.
Blimey this forum is beginning to sound like an episode of Dr kildares casebook. I reckon most go back that far to remember that gem.
so what’s the plan for the Jan 11th meet-up. Are we all bringing our monitors and tablets along wakey can bring his viagra. Has the makings of a riveting night the match had better be decent
Merry xmas to all. Hopefully everyone has survived the night and we've a full squad going into tomorrow's turkey fest. Seriously though...everyone should make sure they have their BP checked and ideally blood tests etc done on a regular basis. That goes for us younger guys as well, not just the aged brethren who frequent these parts. Thanks to Sparky for raising the issue of mens health as far too many men fail to visit their GP's and take advantage of the services available
Merry Christmas everyone, and all the best for the new year And here's hoping Leeds bring us all the points we need in 2020 , so on this board come August we can all discuss what we need to do for a great life in the Premier league, Because never mind Mr Bielsa, for we know BEST Have a great one everyone.
Hey, don't want to worry you Davy pal, but Amlodipine is a veterinary drug for cats and dogs.......... I think it's banned in some countties for human use. You'l be OK though as long as you don't start barking or miaowing.....
