I was in the car the other day when I heard the record Georgy Porgy Pudding Pie, Kissed the Girl and made them cry but could not figure out who did it until I went to YouTube and discovered it was Toto. At the same time I discovered another and recent recording of the same track by Ace of Heart. I love it. The girl has a terrific voice.
Here's a bit of Strumbellas, not a band I knew a lot about till recently but definitely worth a listen IMHO. Canadian hipsters, but I'll not hold that against them. Incidentally, the girl dressed as a pirate in the video can shiver my timbers or indeed walk my plank any time she's not busy.
A lovely seasonal song in honour of Jack today...I could've chose old Shaky or Cat I suppose but I love this one...
And I make no apologies if I might've posted this before, it's one of my favourite themes from one of my favourite films for "local hero", Danny...
? One of the best love songs ever - If (like me) you enjoy a cover version try his 'kicking against the pricks' album.
If we're talking Nick Cave, here's a nice little track from Murder Ballads. Duet with Kylie Followed by my favourite track off that album
What better to help blow away the winter than some Johnny Winter blues. Great guitar playing with an infectious beat. Just how electric blues should be played .....
Nuff said for our second today, the whole team can take credit for a wonderful passing move and finish..
