Keep safe on the roads everyone as the idiots are out there. I came within 2ft of smashing into the side of a car that pulled out of a side road without looking or stopping. It was my right of way so no fault would have been attached to me. Not what I needed at 03.55 this morning but it proved that I was awake.
My wife had a nice Christmas present yesterday, finding the rear near side window of her car smashed into a million fragments, while parked in a quiet residential cul de sac. Nothing stolen, as the alarm went off so they must have scarpered. Autoglass can’t come until next Saturday, which is a trifle inconvenient to say the least. Bastards.
Can’t “like” this post, Chilco! Bastards indeed. I get really incensed by this sort of thing and the police don’t have the manpower to deal with the buggers.
A horrible thing to happen. It happened to my son’s car a few months back, when around a dozen cars were attacked at the same time. Frustrating because of the inconvenience. I agree with you, bastards.
Terrible thing to happen. It happened to me a few years ago, though when Police reviewed the CCTV, it was actually a car driving past and a stone chip!
A tourist spots Fergal standing outside a shop in Dublin and asks “What’s the quickest way to get to Cork?" Fergal says, “Are you on foot or in a car?” The tourist says, “In a car.” Fergal says, “To be sure, that’s definitely gonna be the quickest way.”
Think about an area the size of a football pitch. Then, if you can imagine anything that big, think about an area the size of 8.4 million football pitches. That’s the area of Amazon rainforest lost to deforestation in the last decade. Merry Christmas.
I can only sympathise and understand how infuriating this is. It was only a couple of months ago that my rear window was smashed in. Some people are just ****ers.
Watching Home Alone with my kids. Now it feels like Christmas. Have a good one you lot. I'll see you on the other side.
Finally sat down with a glass of wine. My daughter in her guilt for living 4500 miles away with my grandchildren (well i have to say that), ordered a lovely 65" Samsung Frame TV for XMAS for us. Got woken up at 8am by John Lewis and spent the day blowing up drills, buying new drill bits, swearing and finally putting it up above the fireplace. Looks Gorgeous!!!!! Happy Christmas to you all. PS Watching Home alone on it too
All the best for Xmas and 2020. Twenty years since the millennium ?!?! Please don’t restart the discussion about when the millennium was
It's gone 8.00pm so that is enough of all this jolly Christmas bollocks for me. The in-laws excelled themselves this year by remaining stationary for over 6 hours while everyone else was doing everything. At one point I did wonder if they had expired, but their food kept disappearing so there must have been some life there. Their astonishing generosity reached new heights this year with their sole contribution being a box of biscuits with a best-before date of February 2019. The sheer thrill of it left me speechless, which is probably a very good thing to be honest. All this Christmas stuff just gets in the way of far more interesting things like books and biscuits, politics, the environment, music and Saints. One thing is certain, 2020 will be an interesting year. We might well be looking at a struggle to see this season out safely but hopefully we will also see the beginnings of a very good young, hungry and exciting team ready for the start of next season. We can but hope and have faith that Ralph can make it all come together. I reckon he might well do it. Hoping you all had an enjoyable day and will be up for the match tomorrow.
