Unbelievable amount of police on duty today. A very minor disturbance in the Brum end disturbed, much to their annoyance, the double line of seated constables in the East Stand who all seriously looked as if they were either asleep or writing their Christmas cards. #moneyforoldrope.

Agree with all you said, really enjoyed the game, never felt really we were in any danger of losing it. Lopes was very good I thought as well as Eaves, and wonderful to see both Eaves and KLP get their goals and a great finish by Turbo for his. KLP is getting a bit of a super-sub, and Grant seems to be handling the boy well, and not overexposing him too early to full games.

Let's hope for another 3 points Boxing day, and add to Forest's poor run, and get our first double of the season.

and it was away, as was his goal against Barnsley. 3 in 5 (let's say he's awarded the one at Charlton) is a good hit rate.

I feared it would be Operation NewConservatory when I saw two policemen outside the Silver Cod (note for new readers, we left Boothferry Park 17 years ago), a police van parked outside the adjacent Tesco and two more policemen outside the Malt Shovel (insert titter icon here).

Strangely Brownies Bar and Carlton Hotel were left alone - two establishments full of 'lively' characters and 'lovable rogues' - and that's just the women.

Never seen the daft patrolling of the walk from Parkers/Walton St to the ground. Very rarely see any away fans down there, so for whose benefit was it?

Despite excessive police presence, some away fan sneaked in a potentially life-threatening blue smoke bomb. Horrendous.

On the pitch, Birmingham were poor.- can't believe they were one place below us in the table. Lot of glove wearers and dreadlocks in their line up which gives you an indication of the preening, narcissistic players on their books. They never looked like scoring, and it should have been more than 3.

A very welcome and morale-boosting win

Think we need 4 or 5 wins in a row to thrust us up right into the thick of the play offs, otherwise we'll always be 3 or 4 points shy and will be doomed to miss out.

Sooner we have this run the better.

We’ve been calling out for something like this for ages on here. Good to see they’re doing it and getting the next generation excited about Hull City! My first ever game was a free ticket through my school and I stuck around so hopefully more of these will. I read that David Batte got the ball rolling on Twitter after the Forest game? Good work!

Everyone should warmly thank the police. Without their presence we could have seen scenes like this.
https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/midlands-news/gallery/zulu-warriors-9668659 Obviously even more will be required for the Leeds game.

If anyone fancies a laugh, check out some of the Leeds tweets from yesterday's game. Admittedly it was a soft penalty given against them, but it's quite amusing to see them complaining about it when they'd be the first to pipe up if the opposition were whinging over a contentious decision.

During the miners strike the copper who lived next door to where I grew up, quite proudly boasted it had paid for his entire house double glazed ...
