Joe’s passing and ability to carry the ball is so good. He’s so restricted when playing RB - that needs to stop!
Not sure if this was discussed last night but I need to know why after the pen/VAR debacle that the ref restarted the game with an uncontested drop ball?? is this in the rules or another example of a totally incompetent referee?
Not checked but fairly certain it was because the ref was a cockwomble astro will have the other reasons
Yes i agree but, is it going to add or detract from our full backs. If the CB pairing start to carry the ball out our attacks will be starting from a different more centralised point. Now as an option or back up this seems fine but if we start to go through these guys will it have an effect on Robbo and TAA
He obviously thought there was no contact. He only watched the one score four judging whether it was in the box or not.
It adds to the game. There are many times when we look so one dimensional by playing it out wide and expecting full backs to produce something special. We’re now mixing up our play by playing through the centre and out wide
Incredible stat: Alisson Becker has played 5 "win or go home" matches for #LFC. Either finals or games where we faced elimination. Flamengo Salzburg A Spurs Barca H Napoli H In those matches he has saved ALL 26 opposition shots on target. Including 6 big chances
Yeah he’ll never be first choice, handy to have as a squad player but I agree he’ll be sold in the summer
That was obvious last season. Weird how Joe's injury then got zero attention in the media but we now get weekly reminders that City have the crisis of playing without Laporte.
If Klopp got rid of players as fast as people online we wouldnt have Lovren and Lallana and our season would be over.
It was a catalogue of errors from the officials. It should have been a red. He watched a single blurry angle while the TV showed a different one that was conclusive. He then used VAR to re-referee the situation rather than check for a mistake, and since the footage was inconclusive he made no decision rather than let his original decision stand.
Looking forward to seeing Joe up against Vardy on Boxing Day. Not many CB's match him for pace and aggression Joe does. Helps eliminate Trent's big weakness too - the ball over his shoulder down the channel. Joe had Trent's back a few times last night. Really hope we just go all out for victory on Thursday, as it will well and truly put Leicester out of it if we win. The VAR thing last night was appaling, and shows what will happen in 2022 when Qatar insist on using their own refs. He was utterly dire. As was the BBC's ****ing coverage - they should have put it on BBC 4 or 2: can you imagine United or Chelsea having their programme cut off just as they go to lift the ****ing trophy? The only good thing about the Beeb's coverage was that Alan Shearer wasn't on it to agree with every decision that went against Liverpool.
