I liked your post and agree with most of what you've said, except... I must admit that I don't know if Bri had done any suchslaggingoff previously or in other threads, How come you don't know he's a WUM?
Isn't it amazing ... ... he tracks my posts, knows all about other posters but has never noticed that every one of idiot boy's posts is wumming, insulting or usually both. Almost as if he has some kind of weird agenda .....
The Chi-Rho symbol is indeed the origin of writing Xmas. Its usage in Christianity is because it represents the the first two letters (in the Greek alphabet) of the word Christos, meaning Christ. The symbol, however, has pre-Christian origins and was considered to bring good luck and generally represent positive things. Its thought that its origin is as a shorthand for an ancient Greek word meaning 'good'. Its been found in ancient Greek contexts and in ancient Egyptian contexts following the inception of the Ptolomaic era.
Historical research has concluded that he really did exist. Where debate currently lies is in the accuracy of specific accounts of his life. E.G. The Christmas story- the census and the strange star that the guided the 3 Kings both really did happen. Current research suggests that they didn't happen at the same time and may have been as many a several years apart.
Erm, much of that is off the top of my head but try this: https://books.google.co.uk/books?hl...ci8tOasfIQS-U&redir_esc=y#v=onepage&q&f=false https://books.google.co.uk/books?hl...sbexExNab0Nw4&redir_esc=y#v=onepage&q&f=false There's also a very good book called 'From Stonehenge to Santa Claus' by a guy called Paul Frodsham that talks about the Christmas story. There's plenty on the internet about historical research into the life of Jesus. It's quite a big area of research. For the really in depth stuff you'll need to use Google Scholar though.
What a load of rubbish, why do some fans insist that we are skint. People spouted all this shire in the summer that we were selling O’Nien , mcgeady and various others and none of them were sold
