We had a very traumatic day but I suppose a win is a win however you come by it, unlucky Plymouth and best of luck for the remainder of this season.
Everything seems to be going our way right now. Similar performances each game where we defend amazingly with last ditch tackles and blocks and some outstanding saves from the keeper and then we go and snatch it on the break. Last night, how our keeper kept a clean sheet and THAT save was Gordan Banks in disguise! TV replays doesn't show a great angle if it had passed the line or not and the commentators were guessing it had crossed the line but then they froze the picture and you can tell that not all of the ball had crossed the line. Your boys put up a good performance We had to play without our best striker (injured), without our captain (suspended) and without a manager. On another night it could have been an easy win for you guys but a good solid professional performance from our lot with a bit of luck got us through
I'm sure there was a handball in there somewhere as well although no one seemed to protest so I may be wrong but when I think Telford lashed one in on goal it definately looked as if one of our defenders { Craig ? } palmed it away !!
Coventry City Match on Sunday the 5th of January 2020, K.O 2.01pm and I think the club are going to close the West Terrace again !..... Why ?
Just out of interest, I see the 4th round draw will take place Monday evening (following the Arsenal/Leeds game I guess). Of local interest, Shrewsbury or Bristol City will be unlucky ball no. 13, Rovers or Coventry will be ball no.16. Would be ironic if they get drawn against each other, and both Bristol teams are knocked out in round 3.
I bet we get knocked out and miss out on Liverpool or Man City. I bet City get through and get the lowest ranked club left in the competition! May be just the cynic in me speaking
JCH and Tony Craig score the goals that give rovers the lead over Coventry Liam Walsh the scorer for the visitors to bring the scores level at 1 apiece
