Natural progression, when you have a family and responsibilities you put them before ideologies that don't work. Say what you like about that war criminal B-Liar, but his assessment of the Labour Party is spot-on, he didn't win three elections by pleasing the hard left. As long as Momentum call the shots Labour will be a diminishing opposition...
Perhaps the least lamented self-inflicted act of political suicide of all time. Goodbye Mad Anna and good riddance...

Donna Gilby, 47, from Cwmaman, Wales, had left her flat just after 8am on Tuesday for a doctor's appointment when she slipped and fractured her foot. 3 please log in to view this image Donna Gilby had to wait on the pavement outside her homeCredit: Nathan Bevan/ MEDIA WALES Pictures show the mum, who has an 11-year-old daughter, lying face down and unable to move. Her friends and neighbours covered her with blankets and duvets to keep her warm. They also called 999 for Donna, who suffered from an irregular heart beat and had two mini-strokes, and alerted her family who live nearby. Her dad Gareth Gilby, a former factory worker, said the emergency services told him they would be there “as soon as possible”. DESPERATE WAIT The 74-year-old said: “We then called the ambulance service and told them Donna was slipping in and out of consciousness - that must have been somewhere between eight and 8.30am. "The call handler told us they were dealing with 'a heavy influx of calls' and that they'd be with her 'as soon as possible'. "When there was still no sign an hour later we called again - this time we were told they were 'doing their best' but that they 'didn't know when they would get to her'." He adds that the ambulance finally arrived shortly before 2pm and rushed his daughter to Prince Charles hospital in Merthyr Tydfil. We were told they were 'doing their best' but that they 'didn't know when they would get to her' Gareth Gilby But, in the early hours of this morning, Donna suffered a cardiac arrest and passed away. Mr Gilby added: "We still can't really believe it. "She was as good as gold and always put others before herself - she'd do anything for anyone. "As a result she put her own problems second, like the fact that she'd struggled with her weight and ill-health for years." Donna's nephew James Perkins, 28, added: “I just can't believe it - it's cruel. Her poor little girl. Every Christmas from now on is going to be a reminder of her losing her mum.” 'DEEPLY SADDENED' In a statement from the Welsh Ambulance Service, Chief Executive Jason Killens said: “We were deeply saddened to hear about the death of Ms Gilby and would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to her family. "We are sorry that our response took longer than we would have liked on this occasion. "Our ambulance service exists to care for people, and our staff share the same upset and frustrations as patients and their loved ones at times like this. "Lengthy waits for an ambulance are a sign of pressures across the whole unscheduled care system, not just in Wales but across the UK.

Man who shouted STOOOP BREEEXXXIIIIT for 847 days finally admits defeat Richard Hartley-ParkinsonWednesday 18 Dec 2019 7:05 am For over two years, he has been the bane of every news report broadcast from College Green, outside the Houses of Parliament. But after 847 days of heckling MPs, journalists and leavers, Steve Bray, 50, has decided to hang up his grey top hat and Union Flag. Since September 5, 2017, Mr Bray has become a regular character on the nightly news. He was every cameraman’s nightmare as he hovered behind presenters, constantly trying to get into shot with his anti-Brexit banners. And, of course, there was his famous booming voice, shouting out ‘stop Brexit’ at levels that would make John ‘order, order’ Bercow jealous. This led to him being called an idiot by MP Mark Francois and Piers Morgan said he was part of a group of ‘complete morons’ and ‘every village has one’. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image )Battered by the Boris Johnson landslide, Mr Bray ended his protest yesterday, but said that it is not the end of his campaigning and he still hopes the UK will remain in the EU. However, he got one final chance to shout ‘bollocks to Boris’ as the Prime Minister returned to parliament. This morning he said: ‘The fight goes on but our future campaigning will be about holding government to account and when the proverbial sh*t kicks in, we will look into how we can get back into the EU.’ The grandfather – who funded his protest by selling off his coin collection – moved to London from Port Talbot, South Wales. Despite the Tory victory, Bray denied that this was a sign Britain had now definitively backed Brexit. Speaking outside Parliament yesterday, he said: ‘The majority of people, 53 per cent, voted for remain parties including Labour, Lib Dems, Greens and the Scottish National Party. That’s 1.2 million more people who wanted to remain than leave. He moved to London from Port Talbot to take part in his famous campaign (Picture: SWNS) He has now hung up his grey top hat and Union Flag to campaign in different ways (Picture: SWNS)‘That’s why we desperately need a system of proportional representation. If we had a referendum tomorrow, we’d win it.’ Bray vowed to continue battling to remain in the EU, despite conceding the chances of remaining were now ‘tiny.’ He said: ‘We haven’t left yet. There’s a tiny chance of staying in, so as long as we haven’t left, there’s still hope.’ The activist, who has almost become a household name, said he would continue living in London to keep up his political work. He added: ‘Our future campaigning will be about holding government to account. Looking forward, to when the proverbial sh*t kicks in, we will look into how we can get back into the EU.’ His protest ended largely because of the landslide result of the General Election (Picture: SWNS) He vowed to continue battling to remain in the EU, despite conceding the chances of remaining were now ‘tiny’ (Picture: SWNS)Speaking to leavers, he said: ‘I don’t blame those people that voted to leave after being promised the Earth, but the sad fact is that we are all going to end up in hell after Brexit happens. ‘Every single think tank including the government sad that we are going to be worse of with any form of Brexit. ‘We may have a high level of employment, but they are not quality jobs. They are zero-hours jobs. ‘The financial sector is the crown jewel in terms of tax revenue. Now the bankers are moving to Germany and France. Our standing in the world is gone.’ He addressed fellow remainers and urged them not to give up hope. He said: ‘We haven’t given up and we are not going to give up. We need to take this time to reflect about how we campaign and how to become a force to be reckoned with. As it stands we are the only effective opposition. We have to persevere.’ Bray conceded the election result was ‘devastating’ and said that the focus now needed to be on how to ‘pick up the pieces.’ Asked whether he ever thought his anti-Brexit campaign would succeed, he said: ‘There are no winners in this. Whatever happens, we are all losers.’ Read more: https://metro.co.uk/2019/12/18/stev...11924503/?ito=cbshare?ito=cbshare?ito=cbshare Twitter: https://twitter.com/MetroUK | Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/MetroUK/
Serious question, Strolls: what is the main point that you’re trying to make? Do you have a recommendation to make?
I thought my point was obvious. The analysis which says that Labour has to win back the North or the working class is flawed. It has to win old people.
Thank you. It wasn’t obvious to me following previous comments (not necessarily from you) where Leavers were rubbished as thick and not knowing what they were voting for. I wondered - wrongly I know now - whether your comment was the start of a suggestion that older people’s votes shouldn’t count as much as those younger, or that we have an older, right wing, thick, xenophobic generation today that will die soon, leaving an up and coming generation of much better socialist human beings.
Paul Golding, leader of Britain First (BNP as was), has joined the Conservative Party and recommended that his members do likewise, because Boris Johnson is 'like us'. One Nation indeed.
Does it really matter if he is a millionaire ? Apparently if a normal person criticizes vast inequalities it is called 'envy' and if a millionaire does it he is called a 'hypocrite' so you can't win really.
Borisov Liar withdrawal agreement proposal in October, when he was trying to win over some Labour MP's who now he doesn't need them anymore, is stripped of protections on worker rights, refugee children and Parliament say on the future relationship. F****** crook.
