The 'Brit' used to be my local and played for them on a Sunday morning many years ago. The 'Cottage' as you was just over the road...Vaux's at the time if I remember correctly so wasn't too keen on their offerings. Preferred Whitbreads and grew up on Heineken :)

Have a read up on how Milan’s current owners came to be.

Fella buys club ‘on finance’, borrows money from American investment group, can’t repay, they effectively foreclose on him and now own AC Milan.

Its almost identical to what’s happening at SAFC, and makes me even more certain that a takeover is well and truly underway.

Was canny when they had the bands on. Remember Arthur Ramm did a few gigs - quality.

Or alternatively a group of American billionaires spent £1 million on flights, legal fees and advisors to rake in half a million quid in interest ...

... obviously the kind of practice that made them billionaires in the first place.

Lad who works for Liverpool says he’s heard rumours about administration, surely can’t be true unless it’s the Americans trying to scare Donald

Don't see how it can be true when we're currently running in the black and have just had 10 mil pumped in.

I agree, apparently if the Americans think Donald can’t pay a payment the can threat administration with out any notice and get the club and whatever is left of the loan

If that's true it sounds like they've got him by the bollocks and are looking to put the squeeze on. I like Donald but nobody would be upset if the Americans moved in sooner rather than later. If it's true that is.

That is why loans are being bandied around. Cheaper by far.

He has 2 wives, kids and a football club to keep afloat

Bringing the blokes kids into a football discussion is scum behaviour.

If I was Donald I'd be asking my solicitor to contact this forum and ask a few questions.

    Seriously Bri,

Give it a rest. We all know that you don't like him but bringing his family and personal relationships into it goes a little to far.

There have been plenty of great men and women who have had affairs/multiple marriages over the years and they have still continued to do their jobs to the best of their ability.

You're sounding like a worn out record. Was his wife your sister or his new squeeze your girlfriend perhaps?

Christ, I don't like what Bri has said (guy's an arsehole) but give THIS a rest too. The way our fans go on sometimes is mad. The guy said he has a wife and kids to feed, he didn't 'bring his kids into it' in the spirit you're suggesting, and what this does is make a rod for the back of people like Donald who could then disingenuously claim that 'fans are targeting his kids' or some other muck.

Apart from anything, the way that some fans have gone on regarding litigiousness over the last few months has been ridiculous too. If Donald wants to act like that, it would indicate a uniquely thin skin for a football club owner, most of whom will at some point have aspersions cast over their motives and methods. Regardless of whether this is or is not something you could sue for (it isn't) it is not up to us to police each other in this way.

People are second-guessing this and in the case of RTG, it's meant a ridiculous policy of ****ting the bed if anyone so much as mentions his name.

    On balance I don't think I will.

There's absolutely no need for it.

I've said what I'd do if I was Donald, that's me talking not him.

Then you'd be out of a lot of money in legal fees and wouldn't get very far before it became apparent that you had zero case.

For me it's simple, there isn't a remote reason for anyone to sue because they stated he has a family to feed. It's not 'off limits' because it's just a fact. What is extremely poor form in my opinion is to start acting as if that would be worthy of litigation, because it's exactly this mentality of pseudo-legalese that has prompted RTG and others to go way over the top in their attitude to criticism of Donald. They're so scared of mythical legal action that they have actually done the work for them.

The day Donald starts suing the fans for stating he has a family and is running the club on a budget, is the day he'd better be able to prove he has neither and is not.

I'd do it just to spoil his Christmas ...

... knowing he's sitting at home worrying would be victory enough.
