China really aren't pleased with Ozil are they? Mesut Ozil: Arsenal midfielder removed from Pro Evolution Soccer 2020 in China http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50843797
It's shocking and shows how complicit companies are. Best to keep quiet and not mention human rights rather than upset cash cows. Let's stand idly by Same as Daryl Morey and Jurgen Klopp when asked about conditions in Qatar.
Steve Bruce has won more points for Newcastle this season than Rafa did at this point last. Which makes him the better manager, or something...
How was that not a penalty? Barnes comes onto the end of a cross, gets there first, Ederson has no intention of getting to the ball and just throws himself at Barnes and wipes him out. It’s not a ‘coming together’, it’s not a 50-50, so what that Barnes gets there and has a chance - getting annihilated after the ball has gone is still a foul. Any refs who saw it please explain?
I thought that, but Barnes momentum carries him into Ederson. I dont think it was a foul. And Leicester can **** off anyhow.
Been saying for a while that the last few years, with the highly-stratified PL, would be the aberration not a return to the norm after a few years where it was quite competitive, and thus far that looks to be the case. The goal differentials are actually more telling than the standings: there are only 3 teams outscoring their opposition by more than 0.5 goals/game, and only 4 getting outscored by the same margin. It was 5 and 6 respectively last year, 6 and 7 the year before. Might seem like a small thing, but it speaks to how competitive the league has been week in and out...the rather compressed table from 4th down isn't a mirage.
Thought I'd check out Bmouth's fixtures. After recent matches against the likes of Burnley and Palace I was hoping they'd have some real horrors around the corner (like us). But actually they have a run of about 10 fixtures which could barely be any kinder. Home to Arsenal is arguably the "hardest". They'll either pull themselves clear, or be in deep, deep
Not that I'm complaining, but how on earth did Norwich lose that? They could have been 3 or 4 up before Wolves scored their first.
Nice story on Sky about how Ben Foster helped an elderly fan with dementia who tried to walk home from the match after his car battery went flat. Foster noticed he looked a bit lost (he had just fallen into a ditch) so he turned back, picked him up and took him home....also promised him a season ticket for next season. Foster just said that anyone would have done the same....it was nothing. Nice story to start the day though.
